I think I’ve found the worst grind in a Warriors game.. Red Hare Unlock Guide | DW6

This journey's road was truly a long one, and I genuinely never thought I'd unlock the Red Hare King in Dynasty Warriors 6, but here we are!
I'll quickly add that I mention the Guan Du farming method a heap in this video but I never actually explain what to do haha. Basically:
- Select Guan Du - Wei Forces (any difficultly is fine, the easier, the quicker in my opinion)
- Play as a character with the Lady Luck ability, while also having a horse equipped with the Find Saddle ability
- As soon as the stage starts, immediately head west and jump over the cliff edge to find a horse saddle crate.
- Once you've obtained the horse saddle, immediately head north to Yuan Shao's camp, defeat him to end the battle
- Rinse and repeat! You should at minimum get 2 horses per attempt, and hopefully with a bit of luck, you'll actually get Red Hair King much much much faster than I did.
Keep in mind, I wasn't even doing this method at the time I unlocked the horse, I was purely just playing the game to level up Zhang Liao for his Story video, however if I hadn't unlocked Red Hare King by the time I reached Lu Bu's story video, I had planned to relentlessly grind the Guan Du method until I eventually obtained the saddle.

I . . . don't love this Game. One day, I recalled playing it on my PS3 then giving up. I had heard it has one of the best Lu Bu stages so this year, I bought a copy and finished the Story mode from start to finish over 4 days. Though I did enjoy the Lu Bu stage, I found a lot of the game to be monotonous due to the lack of a combo system, lack of stages and battle events. If anyone wants to try this Game's Lu Bu stages, use a guide, play it in moderation and consider playing something else in-between as a palate cleanser.

I think this is the best Red Hare's design, it's big with enough cosmetics to make it look special, it also feel way faster. I really hate DW7-8 version because it just a red horse with red highlight tail.

If you play the PS2 version (DW6:Special), I remember there was a method where you have to set PS2 system clock into a specific date, then continue to 2-player method.

I never found Red Hare in this game. I found Shadow Runner, Ebon King and that other white horse from Liu Bei, but never the Hare. Can't try anymore but great work, you found yours.

@@KUNG1Lao every secret horse in this game is a luck drop. If you get a black horse with "consider the world" and "heavenly physique" on his description, just train the horse and it will turn into Shadow Runner. Gettin secret horses in this game sucks.

It's 2023 and if I'm remembering correctly I've never gotten the red hair mount in Dynasty Warriors 6 but have gotten it in every other game possible. And I knew about this grind and also did this grind for days on end maybe weeks on end and never got my luck with me. Maybe luck will be on my side now. And maybe worth giving it another shot!

what i like about dw6 is every character has their own unique skill tree. theres even some tree which form pictures, like ma chao and horse. we need dw10 which has all the pros from prev installment. idk why koei always delete some good feature for another. why not add them up together, game size not really matter

Also, one interesting thing about horse grind is that, they are not affected by the difficulty settings unlike the weapon grind. So, choose any difficulty and go to the maps like guan du, shi ting (wei) and fan castle(allies) for horse grind.

I myself have had it happen that my ultimate dream which was white turned red upon reaching level 5. it's completely luck based. other than that i've also had it happen my Black horse turned brown when reaching level 5. But still a good and rare video on this game, good shit brother and hopefully koei tecmo and w-force finally create a game close to this masterpiece. (Lubu and Red hare actually feel like a menace on this one. also the VA for Lubu was actually suiting for him)

bruh, I've been looking up info on this old game I loved and I find it hilarious that people call this a crazy grind. I remember doing a time trick where you set your console (PS3 for me) to a specific time & date, doing a specific battle, and then getting a Red Hare. Weeks? god damn lol

I download this DW6 on Pc last week it reminds my old days childhood and didn't event know how to get red hare in this game ever since 14 years old back then until i watch this video. I begin to grind following your method have to agree with you grinding these horse is Rough considering it always at random base on luck and spend at least 10 hours a day to get the red horse at Guan Du over and over again. Now i'm glad to say i finally got Red Hare King as well the rest of the horse Kings..... after 90 times attempts but still thank you so much. PS: I got 2 Shadow Runner King except the second one only has 3 stat instead of the first one has 4 lol( I wonder if i ever get a Second Red Hare King :3 ).

Red Hare is the worst of it. I got them all on 360 through farming. Some show up more frequently than others. Biggest red hare tip for me is do not own a single red horse while farming and it will show up much more frequently. I did have some trouble getting Dapple King as well but got multiple Shadow Runner and Hex Marks.

The first time I came across this game is when I lost access to warriors orochi game, so I was finding warriors orochi game online, at that time I was new to internet world so it was proved to be so hard for me to find this game, then I found these other titles and downloaded this game. At first I was so frustrated because game was harder than warriors orochi and characters runs so slow but eventually I started liking the game for it's nice combat and rainbu system. I must say I might have missed red hare just because I was looking through it's name. I still love it's gameplay and would like to have some new warriors game with the similar combat style.

Also, try to kill some officers before finishing some stages as they have a chance to drop horse saddle which are randomly generated every time you played the stage. One of officers from enemy forces carries it. But as stated above, it is random who carries it.

One trick to this that I found is that if you have a red horse already it will be almost impossible to get Red Hare. Get rid of red horses when going for the grind, and Red Hare will have a decent chance of showing up if you farm with two lady lucks on find horse horses on like Guan Du or something. I got Red Hare quite quickly that way.

Then you've never tried grinding red hare in Dynasty Warriors: Overlord 😂, even getting Lu Bu there takes months! (But it's a mobile gacha game, so it's understandable) Getting only the horse is kinda easy (You just need to unlock 40 characters), but if you want to max out a Red Hare, you need to get another 3-4 Red Hares as a sacrificial upgrade, and you can't get it by unlocking characters again. You have to play an event where EVERYONE tries to get red hare, so you basically going to lose to the p2w players. But you can still get it by just participating, but it's going to take a LONG LONG time.

i had played this game multiple time since 2012s i didn't know i could get these horse on the first time i played, years later i played again and i could unlock all horse king but Red Hare and Grey King, and another years later i played again from beginning because my pc ran into problem and need to reinstall it, and i got all horse but Shadow king. And now i played it again, wondering if i could get all the horse king lol, i've grind some hours in total but guess no luck in finding red hare. But i have all the horse king in my stable but Red Hare so yeah, it's all just about luck.

I hated every second grinding the unique trio, especially Shadow Runner. I had already 2 Red Hares and 3 Hex Marks but no Shadow Runner and I discarded 4 Red horses with description just to get that MF. I grinded every horse in Chang Ban, Wei forces, Chaos dificulty with Liu Bei and Zhenji, both equiped with Hex Mark (in DW6E, they have Karma Spirit that gives luck)

That’s odd cuz I have multiple shadow runners and hex marks. Auburn king shows up a lot too. It was Red Hare and Dapple that were hardest for me. Although I found out if I have no red horses then red hare appears much easier

Yes, it is the second stupidest grind in any Warriors game. You have to get 55 characters I think to max proficiency (which takes FOREVER). You have to unlock and beat that stage along with all other stages to unlock Orochi X/Shin Orochi. So it is among the most arduous grinds in Warriors history despite having a clear cut requirement. Shame cuz WO2 is so fun and that grind can burn you out on it. They got rid of it in the PSP version and Warriors Orochi Z which never came to US sadly

It actually doesn’t sound that bad. I remember trying to get red hare when I was playing DW6 consistently. Didn’t realize I had to level it 5 for it to become Red Hare lol. Probably found the potential horse throughout my grind to maxing every character and beating every stage on chaos. If I still had this game, I’d definitely be grinding for it now that I know what exactly to do. TLDR: it’s not that bad

I did this video on Xbox 360. I think the main difference is that the PS2 version there’s this glitch or exploit you can use by adjusting some System Settings on the console, where you can’t do that on the 360

Lol, if you have the PS2 and PS3 versions there’s an internal time trick so you can guarantee getting any horse king you want. You can think of it as cheating or as just fulfilling requirements lol. It’s only on the Xbox 360 version where you have to grind

@@KoeiKollection Right now I’m collecting the mystic weapons from WO3U You can get someone’s mystic weapon in any level which they are recommended to use or in levels where they show up as an ally, not an enemy. There will be a secret objective(s) that you have to complete in a certain amount of time, than a treasure chess will appear somewhere on the map (check the battlelog it will show you where). You also had to do this on hard or chaos Some are pretty easy, but others are crazy I just got sun Wukong’s mystic weapon today, this was mostly my fault because I wanted some variety and decided to play on a tough mission, just because it is an endgame level, doesn’t mean the secret objective will be hard, but this was hard. I hadn’t realized that I needed to speedrun the mission because I had to kill an officer at the end of the mission in 7 minutes and retreat center northward of the map to the treasure chest and head back before the commander dies I than got Susano’s’ mystic weapon Though I was happy to get a mystic weapon, I was furious that it wasn’t the one I was hunting for, and the guide was wrong I was very un/happy I spent most of my day to get Sun WuKongs weapon only to try it on a different mission Picked a different mission, I didn’t care what, I just looked at the guide for a different way to get his weapon I probably chose the most confusing one I had to kill an officer and get 800 kills and I have to do it in 8 minutes But I can’t be to effective because the enemy commander will retreat if you are and you’ll lose if they escape, but the mission ends when they die, so you don’t have enough time to get the chess and kill the commander So I probably chose the worst mission to get Sun WuKong’s weapon But I got it That was, in fact, today

@@KoeiKollection I have also grinded in Nioh to make my armor sets You find or craft your armor sets but the bonuses for the armors are different every time, but there is an item in the game that can change the bonuses where you will have to spend 2 pieces of this item and are given a choice of 3 different bonuses and hope one of them is what you want. How do you get these? By playing the twilight missions (they are basically harder versions of story missions) Everyday you get to play 2 twilight missions so that you can get 1 for each mission. You can play the missions again by playing them on the other difficulties of the game, so it’s possible to get 8 in one day But that is only 4 bonuses a day, and you have to hope the new bonuses are what you want, if not tough luck, try again. I have made 2 armor sets one is a Hyabusa armor set with a bunch of damage bonuses And the other I still haven’t decided what I want It’s Tadakatsu Honda’s armor but I don’t know if I want Increased defense or health regeneration The bonuses are not always active and needs a trigger, so just because the defense is very high, doesn’t mean it always is And health regeneration is very pathetic, but I just wonder what if I were to stack it to it’s max

Orochi X in the original Warriors Orochi 2. Only one I think that comes close. I’d still say Horse King grind is the worst (even though I have them all) because it is largely RNG

Set the console timer and do EXACTLY this SHADOW RUNNER 03/01/2008 11:40 PM Shi Ting, Easy, Wei Side 2 lv 50 characters with open luck both with horses with find saddle Kill zhou fang with player 1, take weapon. Kill Ling tong with player 2, take weapon. Achieve target 3 ONLY Pick up saddle from crate Southern Striker will be the third horse you get The Horse should be Black+Consider the World+Heavenly Physique.
