I do love the characters that you come across, as I think they make life more entertaining. 205 man seems to be on the neurodiverse spectrum and probably has a harder time dealing with situations that you or I would take in our stride. A good Xantia is a bit of a unicorn nowadays.

I have lost count of the number of times I have encountered both odd members of the public and colleagues in over 30 yrs……have to say though that having relocated to the Manchester area a few years ago from Hampshire, that you certainly have an impressive number of characters per square mile here in the north west! I reckon it’s why so many of the greatest comic acts come from around these parts….. so much good material to work with 😂😂

Gotta love 205 man ❤ My run around is a 1993 £200 1.9 turbo diesel Xantia. Check it out L202 LBA. I've owned it since the mega fail over 12 years ago. I bought it off a trader who didn't know how to sort the suspension. Cost me a tack weld. In fact the original plate was L155 AKM and there's a place down south called Liss and it's also Lissa, so i sold the plate and got £400 !!! This car owes me absolutely nothing and it's been to Scotland and Land's End in my ownership. The only reason i can think as to why Citroen stopped selling them is because they were just too bloody good. In fact they didn't stop production in 2001, the Iranians made them until 2010, so send 205 man to Iran because i'll never sell mine or my spare one. 😂

Simular to you, I ran a small car Auction in the nineties and remember a character we named trousers ! Enjoy the channel so when/if I sell-on my 2018 Skoda Karoq for a cheaper automatic now I'm retired I may give your site a viewing. Unusual to find a specialist in cheap cars under £5k that cares about its customers. I'd probably go for a 5 door auto Focus or Fiesta I can pay cash for instead of a monthly PCP as I've done for all my other cars. Keep up the videos !

A very wise plan imo. I read only recently that road tax is eye watering for 2006+ cars. Earlier than that and tax can be surprisingly low.

We had a character turn up at 1755 on a Friday 3 weeks in a row wasting time. Turned up for the 4th Friday and the salesman on duty sneaked out the door and locked him in the showroom. He had to be rescued by the pump attendant.😀

It’s proper daft,BUT the valuations on late letter ANYTHING are eye watering. The only bright spots I know of is unfortunately a negative for first owners who often lose tens of thousands in a couple of years, yet they’re still pricey. The other is modern classics, which i have a hunch are going to do well over the next five years. Grab a 20 year old decent make and model, low tech, buy on condition, history and mileage last. I think it’ll pay you to drive it next few years so long as you’re not needing to slap 70,000 more miles on it. I just bought a Porsche 996 for just that reason. I don’t need to make money on it, but I think it’s unlikely I’ll lose much! And, in truth, I don’t even need a car. I just wanted one of these for the first & only time in my life.

As a former Volunteer in a former Wildlife Rescue Centre on the lesser haired fringes of the south London Area, 10+ years ago, Badgers 🦡 🦡 were admitted after being RESCUED from ( DANGEROUS to them ) Injury Causing / Life Threatening Situations, & NOT being unusual for a Rescued Badger to go through a period of Hair Loss, whilst in captivity / recovering from injury/injuries ( Stress CAUSED by the Injury/Injuries . . . ? / Stress through unusually being in captivity . . . ? ) but usually the hair loss was only temporary & the hair would grow back after a period of time . . . young Badger Cubs in the Rescue Centres care, were known for going through / recovering from hair loss !

Spotted a red Ka in the "sin bin" - is that the low mileage one or another one? 😅 I would suspect ECU fault on the polo to be honest, have had a few go that way on VWs.. exactly as you said, so time consuming trying to narrow it down, its not worth the time spent on it. Onto the next one!

I've sold a few Xantias in my time. Each and every one of them was a pain in the arse, #bloody French rubbish, and none of them ever earned me any profit. Apart from one. Did really well out of it actually. I was literally £20 up. I still have nightmares about mineral oil and suspension cones.

Does anyone know if the 09 plate Aygo is early enough not to have remote control of speed etc? Was hearing from Tony EV Carnage yesterday. He’s confirmed something I’d read about from the EU Commission. Apparently as from July 1 2024, all new cars sold in the EU and U.K. MUST be fitted with a load of tech, enabling intrusive surveillance & remote control potential. Genuinely frightening. Anyone thinking “It’ll never happen, we’re in a democracy” has been asleep during the near global coup d’etat of 2020.
