Sometimes he gets too drunk to play though...as you do! Stoke On Trents finest...Saul Hudson. Need a gunslinger guitar player? Better call Slash! If he's not too drunk. ;)

Oh come on Austin you HAVE got to buy this and review it!! Fun fact - Recently I have been digging more into Steve Clark and I found out that on all of his Gibson guitars, Les Paul's, SG double necks (a black and a white one), a firebird, Steve used the stock pickups in all of them. He really liked to keep his guitars as original as possible and even though the other Def Leppard guitarist, Phil Collen, is more into using DiMarzio's and other after market pups, Steve chose to keep his guitars with stock equipment. Bonus fun fact - One time while on tour and in NYC the terror twins as they were called, decided that they wanted to buy two identical Les Paul's as a sort of commemoration of their trip to NYC. After searching through multiple shops they were unsuccessful but then they received a phone call from one of the shops they had visited and the owner informed them that after going through the entire inventory including stuff packed away in the upstairs of the shop, they found two brand new still in the cases and all 10 year old Les Paul's that were only one number apart in their serial numbers! This was in about 1985 so that means they picked up two brand spanking new 1975 Gibson Les Paul's that were only one serial number apart. Phil showed his in the video and said Steve's family had Steve's as well. But seriously Austin, you should get this double neck! It would make a great review and I bet it would be one of your top viewed video's.

Wally Bryson would use the double neck 12/6 SG on stage to perform The Raspberries hit “Go All The Way”. In the studio, he used a Rickenbacker 360/12 for the twangy parts (same guitar that George Harrison used for the opening chord to “Hard Day’s Night”). But for live performances, Wally used the double neck SG so that he could play both crucial parts of the song easily. 🎸🎼🎵🎶

I have seen a white Gibson Double Neck 6/12 String Guitar with six 24-carrot gold plated pickups on it just like this one before. The one I saw was in a Gibson Guitar Company display case at the Grand Ole Opry Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee back in the mid 1980's when mom and I had stayed there for a week. If I had the money back then, I would have purchased this guitar in a heartbeat. Back in those days, Gibson was doing a lot of limited runs of oddball stuff like this.

At a Don Felder concert, he took a break and when he came back out, he had one of these on a strap. When the applause finally died down, he said, "That is really disturbing. The applause I just got was twice as intense as that when I came out alone." "It does nothing for my confidence."

i dont think i'd rock it - my LP already destroys my shoulder, thank you very much - this pack mule cant handle any more weight.. a little off topic - but i've been looking at a couple of elliot easton sigs - a custom shop SG, and the "tikibird" reverse firebird - the SG is probably out of my tax bracket, but the tikibird is do-able - my question is; in your opinion, do the tikiman emblems in place of the regular gibson logos make for decent investment potential, or is it just gimmicky?

The tiki's seem to hold their value really well and sell rather quickly when listed. Might be a decent guitar to hold on to Link for people who've never seen one reverb.com/item/29133506-gibson-elliot-easton-tikibird-firebird-2013?_aid=growsumo&gs_partner=Trogly

I've actually seen another one of these beasts, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick played one on the BBC's 'Old Grey Whistle Test' however his would have been in the 70s so might have been custom for him that inspired a short run later, or he modded up a normal one. The clip was shown on a compilation 'Guitar Hero at the BBC' over Christmas. As for that Les Paul, I really think you should hunt out a Paul Landers one, as I think you'll like it.

If I were to own a double neck, it would be the Epiphone G-1275 Double-Neck in alpine white with black scratch plates which looks more similar to the Gibson one that is played by Don Felder. On the 6-string neck of the Epiphone G-1275, the pickups don’t have covers on them. Only on the 12-string neck.

My Gibson Les Paul custom SG is a 1986. Does that mean I have Tim Shaw PAFs? If so I have 3 of them. Not that I would ever sell, she's been my main guitar since 1989 and a lot of the gold is worn off all the hardware where my right hand goes. Pickups, bridge, tailpiece. She's well worn in. I was thinking of getting it replated but it's my wear in and I think I'll leave it.
