Pro tip from a long term market stall holder. People buy your energy! Absolutely agree that your have to engage with your clients. Talk to everyone! People want a story they can share with friends and family. Give them a great memory and they will buy your goods and they will come back and bring their friends!

Ya dont gotta have a full blown convo with each customer but I look back at my experiences shopping at for example t-shirt bro booths at Rosebowl, they rarely greet me when I come into their booth, ignore me to continue conversations with their booth mates or their phones and makes me feel disconnected from the shopping experience. Also, makes me feel awkward looking thru their inventory and gives me anxiety to ask them questions about their items. Makes me less likely to drop my money on their stuff. Vendors should be aware of those who clearly don’t wanna socialize too tho - but I feel like a quick “hey how’s it going, if you have any questions I’ll be here” type intro is good to let them know they have the liberty to shop and bug if they have questions✨

The price on the rental seems really high to me. I am in Southern California in a much smaller town but still that price was to rent it for the whole month not for just one night.!! I’m a real estate broker so I know what I’m talking about. In fact, you should start advertising now in San Diego and Los Angeles areas to see if someone has a good deal for you guys! They are a lot of people & organizations willing to help out young people! Esp where they want to draw young crowds. So they maybe able to pay u to set up there!

Yeahhhh single day warehouse rental prices are WILDDDD! I reached out to probably over 50 warehouses with over 15k sq ft and was quoted anywhere between $5k-$20k for 12 hours! We had found a warehouse that was well over 26k sq ft for $3k but they required SO many liability insurances (10 different kind) and as a group of girls hosting their first night market without an LLC no one wanted to fulfill most of those liabilities lol so our warehouse expenses were high this time around and are even more expensive when they have amenities and are ADA compliant. We found another warehouse that’s a lil sketchy but gives off the underground vibe I was wanting for a good rate so that’s gonna be Usagi Mercado’s permanent hosting location!🐇✨
