Thank you Taku for having me on! Outdoor cooking was not easy so much respect for Taku & Jocelyn! Going in the wood foraging and cook on a boat was so much fun. I hope you all enjoyed the episode! Also, this was definitely out of my comfort zone and great experience. When I first heard the idea from Taku that we are going on mushroom foraging I knew I would look stupid lol(because obviously I have never done it). Chefs get complacent easily and can stay in their comfort zone unless there is a challenge so this was definitely a needed adventure. As someone commented, this is how everyone used to do the grocery. It is a 2 day project to prepare a meal for an entire family in real world!

It is cool to see two chefs working together behind the camera. I thought it was an awesome collab and the experience makes me excited for more of them in the future! It would also be cool to see you on the channel again. I imagine that something about foraging your own food makes it taste a million times better!

I liked the foraging for mushrooms and as a fisherman especially appreciated the comment that the rockfish was perfectly tender after a day of aging. Few people purposely age their fish as they should. Having another chef on the episode shows the confidence, courage and sharing aspects of Taku-san. Peace and Cheers!

San jose native, avid home cook and occasional catch and cooker here The travel/wilderness content i great but the local foraging/fishing along the bay area coasts and forests is what made me fall in love with your channel. I reference you constantly when talking about food/travel with friends and family bringing new chefs outdoors to show them how to forage and seeing how they treat the local ingredients is an amazing idea and can't wait to see more

Hi guys! Believe it or not the old mesh bag tech isn’t always the best! The mushrooms have either dropped spores, or have not and no amount of shaking will really help. however the best of both viewpoints is using a wicker basket. It doesn’t tear delicate mushrooms up and if there happen to be any spores that feel like falling they are still able

The land and the sea are like your supermarket. It's nice to see what you create with the things you forage for and catch. What you come up with is like a work of art. More collaborations with other chefs would be awesome. It would also be cool if you went with your fans on KZbin and did a foraging expedition for wild mushrooms, wild berries, and other wild plants, and made a meal with those things. My dad and his brothers were very good at foraging for wild mushrooms on his farm in Alberta, Canada. I had another uncle who was also good at foraging for wild mushrooms. Wild mushrooms definitely are great when they are cooked up. Cheers, Taku and Jocelyn! 👍👍✌️#TakuTuesday
