Man, The Short Game Chef transformed my short game. Its the strongest part of my game now. Trail arm only and the pause drill are my staples.

Like most things in golf - there isn't just one way to swing a club. It all depends on body types.

Be Better Golfers are familiar with the rotation measurements with Dr. Lynn. That took me down the rabbit hole of Mike Adam’s entire assessment. I found it fascinating and wondered why you hadn’t spent time on it. I’d definitely watch if you explored it in depth.

I met Trevor when I was working at Via Verde Country Club. I’d always have questions about the short game and he would always answer them. To this day the most talented short game player I’ve ever seen, and a great guy

I noticed that with two hands you bump your hips left at setup but your shoulders are back. With one hand your shoulders are more left (over your hips). I find getting the shoulders forward (opposite of a driver) is key to low point control and avoiding fat chips.

Interesting that he allows you to suck the club in behind you so much. Big ups to Trevor for not mentioning "the bounce". As Padraig says it's the most over used term used in short game.

the difference between one and two hands is the timing of the turn. with one hand one will let the club drop and turn with it. with two hands one uses the turn to drive the club. all you need to do is feel the club drop and then turn with it with two hands. keep the hands passive as well

Man! You wanna revisit Marcus bell for short game. He has a method where you hold one of those discs he uses on the chest and gets you moving it like a wheel . Ultimately less rotation like in a full swing but more in the transverse plane, much like throwing a ball. Helped me loads… up and downed everything in last weeks medal for -1

I think that is fascinating relating the way you fold your arms to your grip. Very interesting. What screening is this? My personal beliefs with the short game. I have 2 different ideas that always work for me. "Pushing the bounce under the ball." The other is just collect the ball with the clubface. Keep it simple. The hands and arms provide the up and down action while the body provides the rotation aspect or pivot. By collecting the ball while pivoting gets me straight darn near every time. Occasionally I have to remind myself to hit a draw. However, the cut spins way more as Camron McCormick has shown over and over again. He advocates for a cut most of the the time.

The assessment he’s talking about is the Mike Adam’s stuff branded under BioSwing Dynamics (I think) I’m certain you’ll find it by searching those terms.

Get hold of Dan Grieve’s ‘3 Releases’ book/Kindle or better still invite him over to the States for a lesson or visit him in the UK. He will permanently improve your short game beyond recognition.

If you push a face that is originally flush up against it, and the face begins to open you should strengthen your left hand grip. If you push it and the face begins to close weaken the grip.

He surely looks like he drags the handle through impact at least that's what I saw. One handed he let it swing more.

Just bite the bullet and go see Stan Utley. Your setup is your big issue right now. To open, not enough pressure/weight left, spin tilted away from target. Get more left, feet/shoulders square, spine more vertical and shoulders level.(will feel tilted more towards target then away, use mirror) and use your pivot to hit the shot.

I always go back to Phil Mickelson's video about short game where he states that the ball is either in the back of the stance of forward in the stance, never in the middle aka no mans land. Your ball position seems to be too much in the middle. Keep it simple.
