I did one at work a few years back - ISJT-T "the Logistician" - which I agree with on a broad category basis, but test results may change based upon how you are feeling on the day or how truthful you want to be with the answers. Plus, as you noted yourself - some days you'll be one personality "type" and different on other days. And I think we all have a series of masks that we wear - work, small social, large social, close friends etc - all are still you, but just different facets of.
@sallybee1918 күн бұрын
That’s a good summary! Yes, it’s good to take these things with a pinch of salt. Know thyself etc. And we can change over time (thank goodness 😂 ). I have slowly become more extroverted and more organised 😅

ISTJ. I discovered MBTI a year or so ago and while the overall descriptions the 16 Personality website uses are a little “zodiac sign”ish in terms of vagueness, I’d suggest exploring the actual category descriptions. They’re amazingly helpful and I’ve found them helpful tools for understanding how people can think and react differently from how I do. I’ve leaned into my own tendencies to increase my satisfaction in how I make decisions and react to other people’s decision-making styles. From most of your answers, it was easy to see you were an E, F, J from your answers and once you poo-pooed theorizing on how the world might be, I knew you’d have to be an S, so if you understand the categories better, you don’t have to apply the “generalization” they’ve come up with, since it doesn’t really show the weight of each category in your personality specifically. My favorite ISTJ joke: Person: Talking to an ISTJ is like talking to a robot. ISTJ: 001000110101 😂

Maybe you should experiment with reading fiction for a few months and see what you get from it and then tell us! Love this video, Understanding personality is essential to identify your strengths, motivators, preferences and challenges. These online tests will give you some insights into your preferences but overall they are saying there are only 16 types of people (actually 32 in this instance with the addition of the A/T element but lets not get into that). These are called type based models. The better approach is a Trait based model that looks at your personality as a whole. There are millions of combinations of personality that Identify what you are naturally good at and creates self awareness of what challenges you face so you can implement a development plan. It was interesting that you liked the test but felt you were not sure what to do with it. It's because it doesn't explain what Personality really is, just a few statements that you either agree or disagree with. Love the work, keep it up

@@ADHD-fourty-tude Yes, it’s the really busy mind that gets me and so many other things. Needing routine but unable to create it. The “ADHD waiting room” where you have an appointment to go to but are utterly paralysed and can’t do anything else that day in case you get distracted and miss it. An untidy house until you get to the point where you have to clean everything in one hour flat out of shame. The hyper-focus at university where you get a distinction in your final project because you can’t focus on anything else, but you suck at exams because you’re neurodivergent and can’t retain info. Losing important stuff like your house keys as a child. The low dopamine issues that make you start several projects at once but you are unable to finish one of them. So much more, but I’ll bore you to death. It’s so tiring, but I am learning to implement systems so that I have better control in my life - having a specific place for everything, developing good habits and also lists help me. My next thing is to nail achievable goals and work for myself, rather than in a workplace that is only designed for neurotypical people.

@@JOJO-ug9ei I bet you heard it many times already but exercise (crossfit in my case since its never boring with the changing scheme every time) can really help elevating dopamine and adrenaline - and if you are able to exercise in the morning, this will also allow you to sleep better in the evening (due to physical exhaustion). I have taken so many "personality tests"....finally gave up due to so much conflicting/confusing results. IMO the science of psychology is too immature to provide useful guidance for many of us. Of course there are exceptions.....some people have experienced life-changing benefits via counseling, especially in cases where there's serious psychological/emotional disorders. But I have great hope things will change soon, and new tools will become available to just about anyone that allow people to make dramatic, sustainable improvements in their general mood and reasoning ability. I'd guess this will involve sophisticated AI companions, possibly in conjunction with certain drugs. I'd speculate that in a decade we'll look back and say that the greatest benefit of AI was its ability to vastly improve humans cognitive function......or, it will destroy us all. 🤣🤣

Some people may be working in fields compromised by fraud and abuse, and have to be very calculating and navigate through these situations.
