Also, since there are different kinds of rocks, maybe there's different kinds of tools for them too, if you hit them together, like you did with the grinde ;-) . Maybe one of the tools can be used for cutting up animals ;-)

I think his thought process was that since it was a constrictor, it wouldn't leave any bleeding after. And to be fair he should be kinda right. While constrictor snakes do have an anticoagulant venom, so they do cause a lot of bleeding, it normally leaves your system fast and so doesn't cause any actual harm. Snake bites notoriously look worse than they are because of the superficial bleeding. So honestly I often forget for a second that my ape is gonna die if I don't fix them up after they get constricted.

Ap was the ape that got wrapped up by the snake and sustained an injury, that is what killed them. Any time a member of a clan is injured you either need to gather the materials they need in order to heal and treat them or switch to the character and do it 1st hand. They arent able to heal themselves or drop/switch items automatically so it can be tedious, but worthwhile. Loving the series!

Clan Settlement Tips: 1. Give each ape a sharpened stick (or two) so they can defend themselves when attacked. Also when one gets hurt, either switch to them and heal them yourself or command them to heal via mimic. 2. As you drink or eat the green circle will flash yellow, when it stops flashing yellow your full. 3. Try to always have a sharp rock (bang two rocks together to craft a sharpened rock) nearby to sharpen sticks much faster. 4. You can listen/smell for nearby predators and memorize their location so you can avoid them easier. Loving your enthusiasm for the game! Hope the tips help. :)

this is all great advice, I just want to add one thing to the number 1. When they have a stick you also need to make sure to have them mimic you putting it back in the right hand after doing something like eating or drinking. If they don't have it in their right hand they wont be able to use it when attacked, even though i don't know if the ability for them to defend themselves is even unlocked yet.

Basically, the kids became the teenagers and new group of the clan & the few older ones are still left and im sure you can have kids with as many fertile females as possible just to keep the evolution and gene pool alive or something. This is a really cool series i hope to see more development in the clan again. I think the one that was attacked by the snake was hurt when you moved to the next location and succumbed to his injuries

If you're going for the meteor site, you need to make sure you bring all 6 babies to maximize your generational reinforcement points to lock in your neurons before you go to the next generation or evolve.

Good things about having your clan with you is that if you get attacked or held down by an enemy it will auto switch to one of your clan members so you can intimidate the threat and save yourself. So ultimately having your clan with you means you can keep everyone from being killed. You still have to heal them after the attack but it a good safe buffer for traveling

Fooster You need to pay attention for a assassins creed jingle. If you head out to the right from the main settlement up on the cliff face there is an emerald you can discover. around 22:30 on the cliff face. It will help with the fear in new areas. There is a second one to the left of the main settlement down by the first cave.

Ap was the one attacked by snake during movement, she was injured and, well, ignored :P Also, bottom right circle with dots indicated your clan members - small yellow are children, white - adults and grey - elders. Now it's a good time to look for a new clan members to avoid cross-breeding. Can't wait for another episode! Cheers, mate!

I recommend cascade oasis. I loved that it was easy to build defenses there, it had stuff to heal bleeding, injuries, and cold. Plus it has bugs for food. Its also really pretty.

This is one of the most interesting games I have seen. There are too many open world HUMAN survival games out. It is refreshing to see an animal survival game. With a big addition with the genetic modifications. Very cool!

I find myself really looking forward to these episodes. Hint for meteorites: Make sure you have all six kids (max number) with you as this will give them all a mutation and two reinforcements allowing you to lock 12 abilities when you go to the next generation. You should only collect one per generation otherwise you are wasting their potential. Lastly: horsetail can be altered and applied to stop bleeding

Not sure if this has been mentioned in the comments already, but the point of exploring the meteorite sites is to give mutations to kids who don't already have one. If you have one or more kids without a mutation (the little yellow dots are kids with mutations; little white dots are kids without mutations), and you bring those kids to the meteorite site before you've investigated it, then investigating the site will give all of the kids with you a mutation (if they don't already have one). Because there are a limited number of meteorites in the game, you don't really want to cause them to happen until you have six children in your clan, and at least one of them doesn't have a mutation. At the very least, you don't want to investigate a meteorite site until you have six children with at least one that doesn't have a mutation.

The meteors give mutations to any kids you have on you when you discover them, as well extra reinforcements. Ap (the ape with the red flashing) was bleeding from the snake attack, you would have had to bring them something to cure them. If you inspect them like you were going to groom them it would let you know their ailment.

KNIVES! You can make simple knives banging different rocks together. They cut meat, alter different things and other uses. Climb cliffs and other high structures to make discoveries, goals and brain boosts. Alter everything with everything else. Flip boulders, study everything and pay attention to every nook and cranny. Find lost apes. Kill everything! This game rewards every tiny detail

Your settlement will change once you actually evolve the apes. So, it doesn't matter if you move your clan since they'll move to a new location after you evolve. If you haven't done it, basalt can be turned into a chopping tool which can help make spears faster. Loving this series btw!

I'm really loving this series. I played it when it first came out and it was one of my favorite game for a long time. Here's a tip, the grinder is to make a paste, the scraper is to butcher animal and the chopper is to sharpen sticks. So make these whenever you can, it'll make things easier. I can't wait for more.

The enthusiasm is contagious! Some people seem to really be playing it up for the camera so to speak. After being hooked since hearing Fisks wheezing laugh whilst logs flew everywhere in The Forest, it's been obvious since the beginning it's quite real. So is the arachnophobia. I feel ya buddy. One way to you can get vitality back on an ape is by eating meat, if you have eaten enough meat you can heal vitality with it, note that elders still have a limited vitality regardless but you can recover some if they lose it. Hope this helps! Loving this series!!

Use the grinder to sharpen the sticks faster and getting meat from things u killed. I believe you can also take their bones and use them like weapons. Also you'll kinda have to take care of your clan members, they're too dumb to switch things out of their hands so they can't drink water 😅

basalt chopper is fastest, then the obsidian cutter. the grinder is not that great. You can use it to make more effective meds.

Ap wasnt an elder they were an adult, they were bleeding from the snake attack early on an eventually died because of there Injuries. Loving the series keep up the good work!

Hay friend if you would like a tip here is one if not ignore. Well if you take to regular stones and bash them to make a grinding stone it helps make paste of the red leaf plant with the bone and weather buff. The paste is a full buff with one over eating like five leafs. Also the stuff that grows by the water (horsetail stuff).

there are only a couple of settlement areas that are fully protected and predators cant access it at all. although you wont have predators randomly come attack your home anyway. the only creature is a unique saber the community calls stalker cat, because it spawns specifically to stalk and attack you. the starting settlement is one of those protected areas. Also fooster, i would recommend you bring all your babies when you go see meteorites. you can also have a maximum of 6 babies. another tip is, really keep an eye on your vitality and general rule is to never use more than the green part of the circle. if you go beyond it too many times you will reduce the life expectancy of your ape from overworking. too many injuries from falling or getting attacked by animals will also reduce their life expectancy and therefore reduce their overall vitality/stamina.

I'm pretty sure that you can actually move some of the members But leave others at your old Settlement and control both settlements. You don't actually have to move everyone at the same time.

Ap was the ape bitten by the boa, you saved them, but left wounds untreated and they died. Learn your rocks, corundum is very hard, ruby and sapphire, you can use it to strike other rocks, make a cutter, chopper, grinder and scraper immediately, meat unlocks alot of neural energy, do not leave meat to rot. Find your dead clan members to have a rememberance, its like religion.

Just wanted to give you a tip; You can carve meat from the corpses of animals with the chopper, it's made from basalt rock. Or you can make a scraper from obsidian, either one can be used to butcher animals. Love your content, keep it up!

Hey Fooster, just wanted to say a big thanks for your content, I have mixed mental and physical health conditions so yours and other content creators videos keep me preoccupied. I know you've been having some health problems yourself, I hope they're being dealt with and managed (as in you have the correct support etc). As someone pointed out, if your little white dots are flashing red, it means the ape as an issue, so you need to check them and help them as required. Also, I've not had the b's to swing through the trees lol, I'm such a clumsy person and have already had to reload a few times or more, I started playing again after watching your videos! as others mentioned when one of the clan members are flashing red it means they are hurt from an attack for instance, and u can alter the Basalt rocks and the obsidian into "knifes" so u can butcher animal corpses to get the meat and a big Bone ;) ohh yeah and to intimidate larger predators u need more then 1 ape out exploring i usually have atleast 2 apes with both having 2 children along :)
