Done some casting in the shallows but the pike weren’t there last weekend , following baitfish out in the deep water, but it threw the disco pike and mouse a mile ! The length gives it the extra distance on the cast

For the river I try not to buy any expensive waiders, they tend to always pick up leaks and tears no matter how careful you are 😅 I’m currently using kinetic chest waiders, maybe €50, they normally last a season at least, could spend €200/€300 on a pair but there’s nothing to say they won’t get a thorn in them and leak ☺️

This one is heavy enough folded up so I wouldn’t really take it for walking the banks, it’s ideal like but you’d know you were carrying it, it folds up nicely tho.

It’s hard to find good net for on foot have Rapala 3mtr one but really whilst head pretty deep I struggle with the better fish the search continues regards lee.
