I've had a construction business with my brother for the last 18yrs. There's a lot of arguing and bickering but at the end of the day there is a job that has to be done. Hell we always have other family members working for us as well. Even my father. Hey mario whats up good to see u and thank u for watching, They serve a purpose what they do is this. Concrete is going to crack no matter what, so when we put them joints to help the concrete crack where we want it to instead of just cracking anywhere and being ugly, (they are actually called control joints) we just say joints tho, and u can do joints durring the finish process or do them the next day w a concrete saw. (,but u wana match what the old driveway was)

Hey shout out to you GRUBB MUDD looks like you guys do nice work man that's great even when you're hurting it's a little different up in Canada here pretty well shut down on the flat work but lots of commercial I used to drive a tractor trailer mixer and it held 12 cubic meters which is a little under 16 yd but luckily we did mostly commercial with those big mixers anyways take care man I subscribed

Yes they're big huge long units and even with 12 m which is just under 16 yards there's still lots of room to spare so they're not the easiest on a residential job site but they're made for downtown stuff good luck to all you guys

the "marg" is very important tool to have on you at all times when your finishing. for me though, the most important tools is knowledge and patience. without those two tools, the best equipment in the world wont help you finish. up here on the frozen prairie, we've been using chloride for about 3 wks. we had last week off because we got 9 in of snow. its melted enough that we set up a 40'x60' floating slab that we're pouring monday. dont want to hang out all day waiting to machine so we're giving it full beans. hot water, 2% cc and we're pulling the fly ash. hopefully it takes off. jammin tunes on my bose/beats earbuds and hitting a floor with the machine screaming wide open....good times. hopefully not too many jobs left for the year cuz its been a looooooong, rough 7 months and im ready for winter break to heal up.

I have degenerative disc disease with facet joint arthritis and it's debilitating. My dad and I have our own small business so luckily i can do things accommodating to my back. (As much as possible for pouring concrete anyway lol.) My back still goes completely out about twice a year with about a month long recovery. I think im too dumb to do any other profession. 😅

Sadly it just comes with these hard physical labor jobs. Feels great getting stronger and building more endurance but I have had 3 hernias now and can’t count the number of times where I couldn’t put my own pants on because of the pain
