When plants are in danger, they release a scent to warn nearby plants. The smell of fresh cut grass is actually individual blades screaming in pain.

@@1KiloDepartment EDIT: I Googled it. Yes, the smell of freshly cut grass is a distress call that plants use to signal for help. I’m not sure who they think is coming for help. 🤷🏻♀️ The screaming of thousands of blades of grass paints a horrifying, dark picture of what is probably a sunny day. My humor is a little dark. 🦇⚰️

I have a 1 year old child. The other day, we were out and I decided to put her down on a lawn. I literally told her to "touch grass". She commenced crying because she didn't like the texture (pretty normal at her age). When I wouldn't pick her up, because she'd never get past it if I did, she sat and lifted one foot up and kept both hands off the ground. It was hilarious 😂. She did get over it and start to explore and play, but it was funny until she realised that grass was safe.
