Cool video. I’ve been doing the Wim Hof breathing since 2020 and I used to do over 10-15 rounds very often (around 20-30 min breathing). The maximum I would do was around 50 min. When done on an empty stomach, the feelings are even more amazing. I went into a really deep meditative state a few times and it is really worth it. Greetings to all you curious people out there.

I have been doing Wim Hof Breathwork since 2019, with 4-5 breaks inbetween. I used to get something like mini-panic attacks on breath-hold, I could almost never retain my breath-hold for more than 1 minute, and since I didn't know how to overcome this, I would pause for a couple of months. After my last pause, I resumed again a month and a half ago, and I am thrilled that there are not more panic attacks, and my breath-holds are now around 2.5 minutes. So now I am enjoying it, currently I am doing a guided video with 5 rounds of 60 breaths each, and loving it

Hi, paramedic here. You never had 30% SP02. As the perineal veins/capillaries cool, they get smaller. This is part of the sensation you feel in your hands and feet during the breathing exercise. It is difficult for any SP02 to read, including our $35K cardiac monitors. AND THAAATTSS OOKAAYY. With that being said, you are a monster for getting through 1 hour. I’m about to start a 30 min session. Wish me luck! Breathe easy my friends

That light was your pineal gland. I’ve been doing WimHof since 2017. I was started practice using the breath work for the Pineal. I noticed I quickly went through red yellow green, then it stayed there a long time. All those colors were mixed together Iin circular undulations . Then after some time the colors changed to blue/ turquoise to indigo blue then finally magenta. I started literally seeing the seed of life drawn out in front of me with open eyes. After more time, Orbs started visiting, then this golden cube was floating through the room. I thought I was just imagining it, until I looked over at my cat. She was wide eyed and was tracking the movement right along with me!! Today, I still breath every day ( for the most part) and I only get to the indigo now. It’s almost magical the things I see now.

@ tingling throughout entire body, especially hands and feet. (Makes sense). Hearing turned into ‘almost’ muffled. I felt euphoric, and I anticipated this every time afterwards. It just kept growing in intensity. Now I see it as steps or levels. Don’t get me wrong.. you don’t stay there in that state. The world and everything in life brings you back this dimension of reality.

Thank you for this. I also sometimes do wim breathing for up to 75 minutes. My numbers are close to yours: 3 minute five second best hold, pulse down to low forties, oxygen level down to low forties. During these trials I get my payoff: Very strong vibrant lights, tending towards purple and yellow, maybe a grid, and a strong sensation of pleasant vertigo. Sometimes this is like a "body gasm". I'm 58 by the way.

Head is also peripheral... Doing it for 50minutes doesn't make sense... People think that they have more oxygen if they breathe WHM, but it is opposite. Head and brain has a lot less oxygen.. So it could cause you see things that dont exist etc.. WHM is useful but people don't understand how CO² / O² works in that case..

Without a doubt! I've been doing the 3 round Wim Hof breathing for over 4 years. Here's what I've found; In his breathing video, Wim Hof does not explicitly mention the benefits that I have personally experienced. During the three rounds of breathing, I found that I was completely focused on my breathing, which easily led me into a peaceful meditative state. This is just one of the additional benefits of Wim Hof breathing. Another equally amazing benefit is that when experiencing aches or pains such as headaches, muscle pain, pectoral angina, skeletal pain, digestive pain, back pain, panic attacks or anxiety, I simply do Wim Hof's 11 minute breathing video, and miraculously, it has NEVER failed to relieve my pain or discomfort and restore my peace instantly.

Great video! Was that the garmin connect app you were using to track your heart rate etc? Did you create an activity specifically for WHM breathwork, or are you able to add to the existing default breathwork activity in the garmin app? ETA. I've just found a WHM Breathing app in Garmin IQ! A new toy to play with during tomorrow's practice :)

I don't understand. I can do a 27 minute exhale hold on round 0ne. I do not go further than that because I notice brain fog. So why do we need all those extra rounds.? I am glad to hear that its good for us.

Question please: WM himself describes one cycle "retention phase," as the breath hold, plus the 15 second inhale/hold, and the exhale. Do you stop the timing as soon as you take a breath, or do you stop timing after the final exhale?
@KitaroWaga
@KitaroWaga 11 ай бұрын
retention phase is holding the breath on empty lungs, inhale and holding for 15 sec is called recovery breath. So the timer stops after you transition to the recovery breath.

Thank you for saying that it’s the release hold not a full lung hold. It’s all about releasing the tension so you can relax and ride on the breaths you had before
