I came to your channel for the CB1 videos and stayed for much, much more! Your comments in this episode about some dealers (dis)service echo mine - it's terrible to be treated as an inconvenience when you're there to purchase a multi$$$ bike/ATV/appliance. While I'm currently being well-treated (on the parts side) by a local dealer, it did come as a complete surprise. I wonder how they stay in business and what drives their profits. Keep up the great restorations, I enjoy your content and will share your channel.

I have the same bike same year and got to ride all summer. It is an absolutely incredible bike wait till you’re driving along and the RPMs hit 6000 hang on that’s when the bike takeoff my rocket.

Thanks Doug. I’ll have to wait until next year to try it now, we’re in snow now for 6 months. I’ll look forward to it and especially after BMW unlocks the ECU at the first 1000km service

I have the identical bike, triple black looks so good. You need to fit radiator guards before you venture out on the road, the rads are so vulnerable to debris destroying them. I fitted Evotech performance guards.

Thanks for commenting, yes I have a set of GIVI guards already. We’re into the snow months now up here so riding it before doing is looking more and more unlikely. It will be a long wait

Many congratulations 🎉. I was also thinking of buying S1000XR 2023 model but eventually in Thailand newer version is still not available and ended up buying a beautiful Kawasaki Versys 1000SE.

Is this your first BMW ? How's quality of the S1000 compared to the Africa Twin ?

Yes first BMW. As I mentioned sun the Video, fit and finish is outstanding. Honda is always good Fit and finish, this seems a step above . Time will tell on reliability

Lol, yea “needs” and “wants”. Had to be done, gonna be a long wait to ride it I think. Heading into 6 months of snow and deep freeze here in the north of Canada
