Those front squats are brutal. I can confirm, it's the breathing that gets ya. My max effort were sets of 3 on 405lbs, but the breathing was hard after 3 plates... uhhhhh! The things these guys do to themselves , am I right?

@@Hello-uv3nz It was like 3 reps though. Also, I cannot , and could never do the form these guys have. They have way more shoulder flexibility. At 19 years old, I still didn't have the flex, so I had to overlap my arms in a "cholo" type position and put the bar on my neck with my overlapped hands grasping the bar backwards (look up this alternate form). The key to the front squats is to have a straight force column. Head up, everything perfectly aligned , or you risk dumping it or getting your shoulders hurt. The limiting factor on those is oxygen and breath. Very hard to do front squats the way I have to and still get enough breath in ya. I do narrow "knees together" flex squats instead. Those help with joint strength and support -- get your knees strong and your hamstrings good too. Light weight and focus on balance.

I discovered Will's channel a little over a month ago and have been literally binge-watching ever since. The content is fabulous, and Will's sense of humour is second to none. I'm 55 years of age and have always loved fitness, but this wonderful young man has inspired me to take my fitness to the next level. Thank you Will. Please come to Australia soon. Oh, and donuts are my strongest weakness, so there's that. Lol

They’re incredible athletes but again, that doesn’t make you healthy. You are the problem. Educate yourself. Eating 10 thousand cals a day is not healthy for anyone. He is not naturally that size. He put in the work to be that size but his heart/organs are under severe pressure

I guess I'm also a unhealthy person being close to 300 pounds constantly in a caloric deficit but because of genetics and a thyroid issue cannot lose the weight. So thanks again for letting anyone who is on the bigger side of life that we are all unhealthy. I guess your next comment will be along the lines of making the world better by not being here. So let's then pull in the people with mental disorders as well. Why not right. Cause we all have to be perfect.

He'll need to win WSM or star in a movie to reach that level of fame. Strongman is still a small, very underfunded sport, that most people don't know much if anything about. His shows tend to be livestreamed, if you want to find ways to support him. Not sure what his next show is, but he did the Giants Live Strongman Nation Challenge: UK vs US yesterday, and decimated everyone on the log press.

I got to meet Trey at the Shaw Classic in 2021 and he was incredibly friendly to me. I asked him some questions on how to get started in strongman and just some overall tips for getting stronger/avoiding injury and he was so helpful. Really down to earth and humble dude!

i started at a strongman gym about a couple months ago (wasn't making great progress on my own, never had training before, figured if i wanted to do strongman i'd better just find a coach/classes) I've been absolutely steamrolled at every workout. it's super fun but the most challenging thing I've done. these dudes are crazy athletic and the community is super supportive of all levels of strength. love seeing the strongman content!

Your content in my opinion is some of the best in the fitness industry. Occasionally watched your videos past few years but only just these past months went through them all. The amount of free info you give out for training and diet is greatly appreciated and the humour in your videos really lift my spirits if I’m feeling down some days. I have struggled for years with an eating disorder like you did and at one point being in the hospital because of it. Just listening to your story and how you approach a balanced lifestyle has helped me a lot with how I look at food and being more comfortable with my body image. Thanks for what you do and inspiration you give to others.

I live near the country and know a bunch of dudes just like this. Freakishly strong giants who are always super friendly. My gym has several who will come in straight from work, not even change clothes and just start tossing my max around like a warm up.
