Does the heat make them bubble up? So what was the reason for not being able to use the tiles that you collected? I change my fire place. I bought the tiles and it work fine. But the setting of the electric fire place needed to be change and get a complete different electrical system. It cost much more but is what I wanted.

You could use white contact paper and cut squares to size to make "tiles" and a permanent marker to add a thin blue line as border to "match" your delft tiles look.

Mirror is nice but those tiles are Pennsylvania Dutch style, not for a city Victorian.

Home decor doesn’t have to be confined to a box. I change mine all of the time. Our home has Victorian and craftsman architecture. The original owners were influenced by what was trending in home design at the time and so they added craftsman elements. The tiles on the insert can be removed when I’m ready for another change, that’s the beauty of it.
