@@FrozenDarkmoon no problem. The dialogue option is always there for the mom of Johto. Either withdrawing or saving it with mom. I’m not saying you should have known, just know it’s always there.

Hmm..Silph, I've honestly lost count for the number of times your Pokemon have survived on red against Falkner whenever you do a HGSS nuzlocke. Also, gotta hand it to you for using a single Pokemon, and Smoochum of all, with the level cap intact, to get through FOUR gyms. Like. Wow. Absolutely mind-blowing.

Editing got a pretty good upgrade. Feels a lot more alive which is great. Btw, couldn't you just have repel tricked so you were guaranteed to get Swinub? From what I can tell it can appear as 1 lvl lower than Delibird on any floor

15:33 It's really frustrating when you refuse to use certain Pokemon because of a silly technicality. Yes, it would technically be cheating to trade an Eevee to D/P/Pt to get Glaceon, but c'mon, the Nuzlocke would be far more exciting with an underused Pokemon like Glaceon on your team. Also, in a previous playthrough, you refused to get a Safari zone encounter because it first required you catch a Geodude for Boaba's first challenge...technically violating the monotype rules. Again, c'mon, making small exceptions in those instances falls well within the spirit of the Nuzlocke and makes for a far more entertaining video.

I agree. Similar nuzlockers make the exceptions and I rarely ever see anyone complain. If anything I see people rejoicing at them using underused Pokemon

I just looked it up and yes, if he had led with a level 23 Pokemon on floors 1 and B1 or a level 24 Pokemon on floors B2 and B3, he could have guaranteed a Swinub

Favorite Ice Type is definitely Mamoswine, one I'm all about ground types and 2 my first ever full odds shiny was Pilloswine in Platinum on the route where you climb to Lake Acuity

Jynx is a boss - glass cannon but has great speed, special attack and two of the most useful types to cover a lot of the most difficult mons in the game. Psychic and ice covers dragons, flying, grass, poison, fighting and ground. Lapras covers the rest with thunderbolt and bulk.

Always like the type run for rarer types. Makes an interesting notion on what tactics to get members or how well a single monster can do. Sometimes I do think a run where you can get a new one each gym battle or something would be neat for such cases, but respect to commitment on as close to the game as able.

Jynx is actually very good though I feel like it should've gotten an evolution like Magmar & Electabuzz did. The 3 of them are an unofficial group as they're all elemental humanoid Pokemon that are right next to each other in the Pokedex. Not to mention that they are ice, electric, & fire types like the 3 birds & can be found in the same area as the 3 birds in the Gen 1 games. It's odd seeing a Gen 2 Nuzlocke ending with Lance as Red is generally considered the final boss

This nuzlocke is basically a luck playthrough. Early game luck for beating bugsy, whitney and morty. And late game luck for getting either delibird or swinub (losing the coin toss tho)
