I don't go out to eat anymore for the last few years prices have gotten so expensive I can't afford to tip. I've noticed service has gotten horrible too since people expect you to tip so much. I agree they should pay them a normal wage.

Caroline's laugh just melted me. She sounds so cute and funny just from the laugh alone. I can certainly understand not wanting her face on camera, but Jimmy using her full name and where she works/went to school is um, a weird choice Jimmy lol (though obviously she was alright with that since it's still in the video lol) Anyways, I haven't been to an IHOP in decades at this point. Probably 20 years? I used to love getting a bacon omletee with their hash browns. I used to love getting pancakes at night also, but I feel like over the decades their food has slowly gotten worse and worse (like most places). Regardless, sitting down to a huge meal at IHOP (or anywhere else!) with an old friend while laughing and having a good time is priceless imo. Glad you two could enjoy a meal together Jimmy. And hey you gave her a huge ass thanksgiving meal lol

The amount of salt, sugar, grease….. incredible. Places like IHOP and Denny’s aren’t doing very well for a reason. I can’t imagine going there more than twice, maybe 3 times a year at most. Each Dennys breakfast should come with an insulin shot and 100mg of Statin.

Sorry to hear about the IHOP review. It is a throwback chain, which my wife didn't care for when we had one. I tended to like IHOP. These days of specialty foods and fancier meals, it might have outlived many diners' palette, but one of the things I remembered about IHOP when I was introducing to one, was that it was 24 hours. The fact that you could have anything at was desired, but breakfasts were the main item. Getting a hardly filling breakfast was something, that growing up, there was a wide selection to choose from. For many people of a different era, breakfast was the start of the day, having a good breakfast was necessary as one didn't always have time for lunch. If one was getting off a graveyard shift, and it was a heavy night of production work, you're tired and hungry, a solid breakfast and a pot of coffee after a hard night's work is relaxing and filling. In today's, health-conscious world and tech-oriented world, a salad isn't wanted by most diners of the hard-working era that are doing physically hard labor, long hours, constantly busy whether in a factory or exposed to the weather will crave for. I worked shift work in my early years in a production center, where we were busy solid for the entire shift, constantly moving, burning calories, staying awake weather, day, swing or graveyard shift. If it was like my father's job at the docks, exposed to cold/windy weather, kept warm by constantly moving and hopefully a decent jacket when it rained. Those types of professions want a hot meal, filling and coffee to fill them up for the calories burned or hours more to keep going like truckers. Salads are great, but not always filling for those careers. In Hawaii, we still have some diners but also drive-ins, where it's not burgers but plate lunches. Two scoops rice, macaroni salad and a main entree, which is the core of many locations of portable and filling. Locals contend with diabetes & obesity like everywhere else but working professionals realize sometimes that one heavy meal might carry you through a longtime, where the other meals are lighter in fare, due to time constraints and availability.

Uncle Jimmy! You got to come to Sonoma County. Trust me, if you're in the area, you should try the wines here. I would love to share my wine I make with you too, but behind the camera, I'm too shy. Sonoma and Napa have really good wine for cheap, though, I can see it making a beautiful video, too. If you do come you can eat at the star in Glen Ellen and you won't be disappointed. All the locals eat at the mill, though. Everyone always goes to SF or nearby, but they never do the wine and idk why.

I remember going to Ihop as a kid and having to eat all of my chocolate chip pancakes. I ate them all and then threw up in the car lol. I've also had food poisoning from Ihop a couple of times and am wary about going there now but the last time I didn't get sick.
