a tip for a tiny functional kitchen is to put a mini fridge and a counter next to each other. Then put the tiny oven from Dream Home decorator on top of the fridge, and the countertop electrical stove from that pack on the counter. That way, the counter is still functional, and it’s a stove. You can also put a dishwasher in the counter.
@AlexaFaie2 жыл бұрын
You can just put the oven from DHD underneath the stove, don't need the countertop one at all. People always seem to think that you can't place them together but you can. Might have to use moveobjects to place it, but both are fully functional when placed together. I use them like that all the time.

Similar challenge: make a 3×3 home just like this one but make it for a sim and a toddler & try to fit everything in there, good luck 😉
To make this more functional: - add dream home decorator separate stove on top of the counter. Your sims can cut and cook in 1 space -shouldve put curtain over the bathroom to act like a door. Also we can fit a sink, a shower, and a toilet in 1 tile only - add tv on top with the bunk bed, your sim can watch it while lying on bed Thats just my take. Overall a nice house!

i think it would be interesting for kayla to try a HUGE build with tons of tiles, especially because she always talks about how smaller is better. i don’t know how many tiles minimum would be considered “very large,” so if anyone has a good idea about that let me know. i’d also say the challenge works like the tiny home challenges where porches/flat ceilings aren’t allowed! (it can be multiple floors, but i mean like the actual ceiling should be of roofs rather than layers)
@BonaparteBardithion2 жыл бұрын
This is the first thing I do in almost every game. They always end up consisting of multi-story buildings with huge apartments built around communal spaces. It'd be perfect if only I could designate lot as mixed residential/retail. Another variant is a row of townhouses that are always way too big for the number of Sims living in it. Of course, I'm not nearly as creative. The largest lot in Newcrest is 50x40. You can go 4 floors up and 4 down not counting the free floor within a roof/fenced open air. My math (which might be off) comes to about 16,000 tiles if you bring the structure and any patios to the near-edge of the lot. I would say a huge lot is about half that, but it might be an interesting challenge to use as many tiles as possible. Also, tried using the Tiny House setting to count the tiles, but they max at 999. So, maybe huge is anything bigger than that.

One of my favorite houses i built was a micro home for a couple and their two children. I had a 3x3 building for the bathroom and another room as a bedroom for the kids. I gave a camping tent to the adults and that was it. Basically it was an outside living home, the kitchen was just three walls with an extended roof to house the table and the chairs, every activity thingie was in the open, with a space rocket, a chcken house, a lot of gardening stuff, and so on. At some point i made a fake room on top of the bedroom to make another one, and it was still a micro home. One of the houses I had the most fun playing with !! In regards to tiny/micro homes, when it comes to outdoor furniture on a patio, my rule is if it is in the 'outdoor furniture' category, it does not count towards house tile count. With a grill and table outside, this is still a 3x3 home.
@AlexaFaie2 жыл бұрын
Yeah like if you go on a houses for sale listings kind of website and they tell you the area of the house they don't include the garden in that total, just the house itself. They might separately state how large the garden is if its big enough to be worthy of note (so like a large enough fraction of an acre like 1/3 or 1/4 or larger). But its always just the inside of the house for the house area. She was fine to fill the entire lot if she had wanted to, though what she did looked at least in keeping with the size of the build.

Also; you might want to look up off-grid toilet options and the portable 'toilechic' for more innovations and ideas that could be custom made for sims...You might consider designing something this size as an opulent playhouse for children! Folks are actually converting sheds into "mini-victorians" and "mini-mansions" in real life... Maybe try it again as an add on to an amazing house build - for a family that would give their kids everything - even a mini-mansion! 😮 You might discover that it changes your attitude and your script!
