Thank you so much for always describing the scent of lip products. anything perfumey repulses me and I immediately remove it from my wishlist. Many KZbinrs don’t even mention overwhelming scents. Vanilla or unscented is my favorite, followed by mint and I can deal with anything fruity even though it’s not my favorite (YSL for example). Who wants to eat perfume? I will never understand it and I’m a Bougie girl. ❤

Your layering of blushes, bronzers and contour is flawless! I am starting to combine blushes but bronzer, and especially contour, scares the heck out of me. I am very pale cool-toned. I might try the Sephora Contour since it is so sheer, I might not get myself in trouble. I really like the Sephora Blush in Self-Made that you recommended for the same reason.

Dr Shireen Idress. Pillowtalk Derm. Is fantastic. Super pro glycerin (like you), and is anti hyaluronic acid. Interesting. I changed what I’ve done for 30 years and my skin is finally settling down at age 53! Can cope either way vitamin c now. So good that I’ve organised parcel forwarding to Australia do I can use her own line. I think Prequel has similar leanings. Can’t get them here and Shireen Idress’s line has some good actives. I wonder if your POD could benefit from a break from HA?

Maybe the balm's tint is for people who want to reduce the natural pink/red of their lips? Almost like a primer? Also, I am from the U.K , we don't get many Hershey things here, but my brother brought me the Candy Cane Kisses and OMG! They are utterly incredible. They taste of Christmas childhood joy. If you're not opposed to using something animal-derived, look for lanolin. You might be familiar with its use as nipple cream, but it is also very effective for dry skin elsewhere 😅 If you'd rather avoid sheep sebum, layer petroleum jelly over whatever balms/lipids you typically use (e.g. Shea butter). The extra occlusivity more effectively prevents trans-epidermal water loss

See also: CeraVe's Healing Ointment (which contains cholesterol but no lanolin) and Prequel's Skin Utility Ointment (vegan). FWIW I live in Los Angeles, but I've never had a winter day that was too cold/dry for Jack Black's SPF lip balm (contains lanolin and beeswax).
