Thanks for this video, Aimee! I'm going to have to get a pair, especially for work! I was just diagnosed with POTS yesterday 😩. I had a feeling.. Getting my underlying issues treated by my Natropath, but seeing my doctor (MD) out of the same office (they work together), and treatments for the underlying causes are uncovering all of my other issues like POTS and MCAS. It's been one crazy ride. 🤪. I think I cried for an hour straight yesterday, after receiving the diagnosis. My Natropath warned me to not take on a 3rd day at work yet (even though i was feeling 80% better), and I should've listened to her. I crashed, and a huge MCAS and POTS flare popped up. Well, everything happens for a reason! I think I'm going to try the jobst socks, and go from there 😊. I appreciate all of your videos, Aimee! You are truly so kind and helpful ❤. So sorry for such a long comment 😆

Great review! I will look into the TruForm and Jobst knee highs. I do like Vim&Vigr but I only buy them when there is a good sale. Also, I prefer their moisture wick nylon in 20-30 because I'm also working with neuropathy. Compression that is 30-40 causes me too much pain. Also, I found Vim&Vigr's cotton line very irritating behind my knees. Another great option are the Mediven Sheer and Soft line.

I took your advice about the Jobst compression socks and you were right! They are awesome! I struggled wearing others but the jobst were a dream. Thank you so much! You made having procedure s on my veins more tolerable. ❤️

I’ve worn truform compression socks for years. I like open toe year round so my feet don’t sweat so much. Then I put a light weight cotton sock over it to wear in sneakers, etc

Thanks for your video . I have lymphedema and need to wear compression socks. Like you I have a drawer full of socks that I either don't like or don't fit and am still trying to find the best for me😊

I love jobst. Bombas is also a brand that is great when you need a warmer sock. Though now I’m curious about tru form, as I’ve never tried them!

I have POTS and wear pro compression a lot. I don't wear them every day, but I make the call based on the quality of my morning (which is eerily similar to your morning video lol). Their "marathon" socks are 20-30 mmhg. They don't have toe-less so jobst for that lol. But they work for well for me if it's not a bad bad day!

Hi thank you for this review!! I was wondering about vim and vigr… I have same issue with doc miller ones, both myself and my kid have had to go up sizes for that brand. I was wondering if you have tried absolute brand and juvo or other brands I think they tend to get expensive and I myself need plus size 😊

My aunt, an ICU nurse, bought me a Cambivo 20-40 mmHg compression socks, and I really do find them effective, comfortable, with adequate compression every time I work. Try it out and do a review please thanks

My dr recommended the thigh high 30-40 which minimize my symptoms better than knee highs that I started with. Guess I was lucky in that I chose tru form just based on Amazon description and reviews! I got toeless and had no problem with them rolling. I don’t wear them on easier stay at home days when I can sit or rest as needed, but for sure on cleaning-chores-errand days. Dr. also said another effective choice would be a Spanx type garment waist to thigh. Has anyone tried that?

I don't need compression socks for any medical conditions. I use them to reduce pain from being on my feet all day. I went to a specialized medical supply shop. They mesured me and got me fitted with Sigvaris 191CB99 socks. 15-20mmHg. They work great. Probably very similar to Jobst. I think the other shop I might have gone to stocks Jobst. Sigvaris does make 30-40mmHg, if you're curious. I normally wear Darn Tough when I don't need compression socks. They are amazing. The only other compression sock that I have tried is copper fit. They are terrible IMO. Some other brands recommend to me were Wellow, Pro Compression, Apollo, and Clove. I have not tried any of these.

The Sigvaris are very different. I wear the 30-40 mmHg. The fiber/weave are much more substantial. While the fiber/weave supposedly lasts longer (according to my lymphadema therapist. They are her favorite), they are so constricting and hard to put on and take off (even with all of the donning accessories)!!! And I was professionally evaluated and measured, so it wasn't a sizing issue. Sigvaris are just built differently. If you have someone there 24/7 to help you put them on, take them off, and adjust them throughout the day, then they would probably be great. But I do not, so I stick with Jobst and after surgery I used Albahealth Ultracare Graduated Compression stockings.

mmHg=millimeter of Mercury. Sometimes, support stockings are called compression stockings, but they are different and do not offer same degree of compression.

How are you going with the true form socks? I have loads of trouble with cutting in behind my calves while getting tight enough compression around my ankle. I love my Jobst too, but I’m in the market for some new ones

I was just officially diagnosed with POTS yesterday. The amount of different brands of compression socks and tightness levels is overwhelming! It’s hard to tell which ones are actually good for POTS because people in the reviews aren’t usually getting them for that reason. I was looking at the Wellow and copper fit brands like some people in the comments mentioned, I just don’t know. 😂 I have heat intolerance year round and have very sensitive skin I can hardly handle wearing anything besides pajamas because normal clothing feels too rough. Are the Jobst compression socks a little rough? You mentioned they feel like a pantyhose I’m worried that would bother me, and for the price I don’t want to get something I won’t wear.

I won't lie, I've been overwhelmed by the world of compression socks. My doctor said I should get 30-40 mmHg and actually doubly recommended ones that go over my thighs. I have 20 mmHg from Walmart that go to my knee and its really not enough. I'm still getting bruising all over my legs and currently have one in my inner thigh, so I probably really should be getting the full on stockings that go over the hips

Nice video but you fail to mention either Tommy Copper or Copperfit. I wear both. I can acquire either for $10 a pair. Comfortable fit with very satisfactory results. I've worn Jobst products and have no complaints. As for the high end over $50 a pair. . . really? I also share your sentiments over the open toe socks. They "ride" up the foot.

@@Aimee_Esther Actually "Tommy Copper": and "Copperfit" are two different brands but both offer a variety of products utilizing the elements of copper threads. Tommy Copper has been advertising their tee shirts, sleeves and compression socks for at least a decade. Their ads are everywhere. I started wearing their shirts for almost as long, followed by their socks. I still buy them. Both Tommy Copper and Copperfit socks are comfortable and affordable. I don't know about the "mmhg" for either. This data isn't on the Copperfit box. I just like what I have on. I have athritic knees and occasional swollen ankles from heavy construction work. These socks are well worth investigating IMO. Check 'em out.

…I’m young, diagnosed with POTS, and wear compression socks because my cardiologist prescribed them. My cardiologist approved wearing “OTC” compression socks because not only do they work, I actually wear them. Not everyone who needs them is older & at my age it’s not embarrassing to wear compression socks that other people think are normal socks.
