It is dangerous. Not sure if "the most dangerous job" but still quite dangerous. There's broken glass that can go to your eyes, body, and cut you; Sometimes syringes and blood (who knows what diseases it may have if it comes in contact with your blood), dust and tiny particles from trash can go into your nose.

Refuse collection is consistently in the top 5 most dangerous jobs, far above a lot of things you'd expect to be up there. A lot of the fatal injuries are them getting hit by cars while collecting, and there's a high rate of work related injury.
@WayneTheONEAndOn5 жыл бұрын
I was a garbage man for two years and it can be very dangerous. Not just because of traffic but also due to the fact that no matter the weather conditions you will still have to do your job even when it's freezing cold and slippery or when it's so hot outside that you know you are going the get a sunstroke and be puking all evening

I'm sure you'l have a lot of women applying for this job much like plumbing, road surfacing, sewages, removal companies etc.... because we are al equal and if man can do it so do women.... actually that begs the question, if male garbage collectors decide to go on strike lets say for a couple more weeks of paternity leave how many services would be running ? I guess none because this is one of many jobs women refuse to do ;) but still we are all equal and if a man can do so do women.... Just one more thing, my girlfriend who I admire and love actually does hard work, she is an oyster producer and she is there everyday under the sun and the rain with mud up to her neck but she shows her hard work she does not sit in front of a computer bulling people ( yes SJWs are bullies and fascists ) and I admire strong, smart intelligent women and have most respect for women... better I respect everyone that deserves to be respected and that includes colour, culture, gender, sexual orientation you name it, but you all SJWs who go on marches closing roads, disrupting our normal lives and complaining about every single aspect of a normal life that get triggered by... air conditioning for example get a real job or get a job and don't force your Fascist agenda on us normal people.

That is crazy. In Australia it's the home owners responsibility to put the garbage or recycling bins out the night before, on the side of the road for the garbage men to come and pick it up. If you don't then your bin doesn't get emptied. it's so much easier and quicker for the council's garbage men, thus making our council rates cheaper and we don't have to hand out garage keys out.
