This was so fun to watch! Thank you so much for going through paint week! Your paintings turned out great! It also makes me happy to see another painter putting in the effort to share their journey on KZbin! Keep making videos!

Oh wow, thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment on my video! It's an honor! And thank you for your great videos and courses. You teach your knowledge through the eyes of the student, and that helps me learn and grow in ways I didn't think were possible on my own.

When we are kind and patient to ourselves it gives us a safe space to open up, allowing for play and exploration. When the critical mind comes in all that gets shut down. So embrace LOVING what you do, even the bad or the bad feelings you have creating the piece, in that there is a flood of energy that is wanting to shift. It can only do that if it has someplace to go. Out of you and into the world as ART is always a brilliant solution, as art is the unspoken language that can say everything we need, without words getting in the way. Great observation and overview. I was looking at this and glad to have you pop up and share.

Such a good idea for a video , you made me curious . Your findings about the course were very well expressed , glad to see it was worth your week of time and there is so much truth in what you said about the way of your mindset needs to be towards the course but definitely towards yourself too. It's also positive this "act of action" brought you the little punch needing to go on , sometimes we just need this small encouragements to feel confident again to continu our own path . Ohh and again beautiful shoots too 👌 Thanks for sharing !

Wonderful video and overview of the free week course and paintings Frederike. You make me smile and laugh with "brush pressure, brush pressure" lol. And I know what you mean about your legs going numb squatting down lol. Thanks for doing Paint week with me! I really enjoyed it even more because I had a friend to paint with 😍

Great video, and I've now heard of this paint coach who I'd never heard of before!! Sounds like his course really taught you some useful info, and was fun and enjoyable. I don't think "appliable" is actually a word. If something can be applied to something else, the word is "applicable". The easiest way to learn how to say "alizarin crimson" is to watch any random Bob Ross video. He used it a lot and mentioned it a lot in his painting show. Also, if you want to learn how to say it with a really thick German accent, you can watch Bill Alexander (who was Bob Ross' mentor) on his KZbin channel. I think Lena Danya uses a lot of quinacridone-based colors and sometimes mentions them. Thanks to your video, I may check out Paint Coach's course myself someday.

Yes I watched. I have a Bob ross paint set unopened and you have encouraged me to plunge in and create some art. Your english is very good, dont be down yourself about it.
@SanchiaMarshall2 ай бұрын
Technically, 'appliable' and 'applicable' have the same meaning and can be used interchangeably. 'Appliable' is still a correct word, though it's considered somewhat dated. 'Applicable' is more commonly used today. 😀
@DQ_ArtGroupie2 ай бұрын
@@SanchiaMarshall Ok, so "appliable" would now be considered the archaic, long-disused form of "applicable". My purpose in mentioning it was to let ATravelerOfWorlds know about "applicable" being an exception to the "verb+'able'" rule for figuring out adjective forms, at least in common parlance. I have previously commented that her English language skills more than rival those of a healthy cross-section of native English speakers, so I'm sure she knows I mean no disrespect. I also had to get my shout-outs to both Bob Ross and Bill Alexander, since their videos are both excellent pronunciation guides for "alizarin crimson". Mr. Alexander's pronunciation is the one to which I always hearken back.

Hi my friend!! Thank you so much for your kind and helpful comment. To start out, I took no disrespect from your comment by any means. And now I've learned another English word haha applicable, I'll remember that 😂 and I'll go check out Ross his pronunciation, I still can't for the life of me understand how to pronounce Alizarin 😅I have actually watched many of Bills older teachings and videos. I love his energy and knowledge. Both him and Ross give their own great contribution to the artist world. And yes I can highly recommend Paint Coach, I enjoy his relaxed and understandable approach to oil paints. I haven't heard of Lena Danya so I'll check her out. Thanks again for your comment, it put a huge smile on my face🤗

Hi and my apologies for answering your comment so late! I can highly recommend his free Paint Week course, to see if it suits you. Since you've been watching his work for several years, I'm pretty sure you will 😇I'm not a fly-sim passionate - this mouse pad belongs to my partner, I'm just borrowing it. But I've definitely found an interest in the topic over the years being with him haha
