Word of warning to newbies...unless you have a HUGE following like these guys auctions are not a good idea overall but especially starting at .99. If you really want to try auctions I strongly recommend that you start the item out at the lowest you would be happy to sell it at.

Auctions are a good idea for many items though. For example, if you have no clue what an item will sell for, you NEED to it as an auction. For example, I just sold an album last week that sold for $108.75. Never in a million years would I have guessed it to be worth that much. Also, people are competitive in nature, and you'll be surprised how bidding wars will cause an item price to be pushed up, even if it's not worth as much as it sells for.....Also, anything collectable should be sold as an auction, such as coins and stamps etc...Just start the auction right below whatever the buy it now price would be. That way if it only gets 1 bid, you don't lose that much money.
@JD-Defenders3 жыл бұрын
@@down-the-rabbit-hole I sell collectible glass and pottery mainly with other things vintage mixed in. If I started my collectible glass and pottery at auction I would loose my pants. Not all collectibles are good for auction...some are longtail till the right buyer/collector comes along.

I RARELEY do auctions now just because there's a group of folks on tiktok who just like to drive up bids and not pay just because they want the item at a cheaper cost to them. Some are also making dummy ebay accounts to low ball higher valued items to trick the seller that the item is valued lower than what it actually is.

I love this channel! I’m really trying to get a start on eBay and I’m struggling a bit but I’ll get there and this channel is so helpful because I didn’t know where to start. The postage scale I bought was broken so I had to buy another one and it’s still in the postage box because I’m afraid to open it to find another broken scale. I don’t have a computer and I decided that I needed to buy a Bluetooth address printer so that I could sale and print from my phone and that hasn’t arrived yet. I’m trying to be optimistic. I’m sure these issues are common for a lot of people trying to get started on eBay. So thanks, y’all! But…..wish me luck, I feel like I’m gonna need it. 😃

Vintage or not I’d of personally never guessed a single shirt would ever sell for $250-300+. I also don’t know if I’m more interested they sell for that price, or what the buy does with the shirt. Like, do people collect shirts and display them? Surely you couldn’t wear these, right? Haha. All that aside, glad to see y’all doing good still. Until next time!

What are your thoughts on listing things at the lowest price for that particular item? I sell vintage electronics mostly and have seen insane slow downs lately. It is to the point where I am only paying my bills and have no monies left to buy more inventory. So say I look up a VCR and they did sell for $65 but currently they are all listed for $40-55, would it be best to list mine at $39? I have never really listed items like this but need sales to increase immediately. I don't want to auction things off in the electronics category because other than rare games, apple, some sony and rare nintendo items you are going to sell for way too low.
@cekz51993 жыл бұрын
Best offer creates lots of views maybe price items at avg going rate and take an offer on them. Could try clothes category too those are easy to source and inexpensive.
@notendopodcast3 жыл бұрын
@@cekz5199 no I am not going back to clothing, it’s way too many hours on my feet(ankle replacement) I hated it and I also couldn’t care less about fashion. I am looking into different genres but clothing will not be a part of that. I have offers on, most of the time people send stupidly low offers and won’t negotiate. I found offers much better when I did sell clothing. Ironically I’ve had most of the shirts in this particular video and all of them got turned into rags for house cleaning years ago 😳

I honestly think EVERYTHING IS IN STYLE when it comes to fashion. I think either you wear the clothes you choose or the clothes wear you.. I also think that in our current “time” a lot of people enjoy dressing artfully. Person style is a great way to create and honor ones reflections. 🌞🎶

I"m sick of not being paid or auctions. I haven't had an auction that I've gotten paid for in the first go round. It usually takes a minimum of 2 usually 3 weeks. I'm tired of even talking about this, but Ebay could fix this. All the online auction sites I use require immediate payment. You can't not pay and if somehow you do manage not to pay, you are banned. Come on Ebay! Just make immediate payments available for auctions and offers.

I have two questions for you if possible: I did not understand the question of the return of the motorcycle suit, Ebay Italy told me that according to their rules, I am obliged to return all the amount paid by the buyer, even the shipping costs , even if he buys by mistake. It's possible? Then a question about a Vintage shirt: how much is a Winfield Starter shirt from the 80s, number 31 of the New York Yankees, in perfect condition, worth? Not the game one but the classic simple blue t-shirt, like the fruit of the loom style! Thanks in advance if you have time to answer me!
