That includes entering the house, it's a demon, activates it's ability instantly, i die. easy to beat on nightmare by abusing the tarot cards, yet very hard on insanity since you have no cursed possession. Remember, Moroi will either be stupid fast at one point or super slow at another. Maybe try the sanity pill trick where you take one during the hunt to hear the speed change, but I dunno if that works or not. Just, if one hunt sounds faster then the last, most likely Moroi

I died to a Mimic. And it mocked me because it waited to hunt until the exact second I found out it was a Mimic. It killed me because it spawned outside the ghost room where I ran. I only lost 30% sanity and didn't know that I started lower, and only had starter items because I forgot to click add. My first insanity mode run, like yours, ended in death right after the ghost type was discovered.

I would love a 'tikwi' themed ghost (for hunts). The further they sound, the closer they are. The closer they sound, the further they are. It would be very scary for the players, thinking they're in danger when they aren't, and thinking they're safe when they aren't.

In reference to Yureis at ~7:30 I was playing yesterday (doing the Prison challenge) and the Yurei used its ability properly right in front of me. From a fully opened door it closed it instantly but I didn't heard the double sound effect, nor did it even make the door closing noise. The devs should just fix it already so we can identify it more confidently.

I think they plan to add a unique hallucination for the Yurei in Horror 2.0, but I think making the door slam consistent would be a cool mechanic, especially if it can sometimes be mistaken for the front door being closed sometimes if you're some distance away.

So my veteran friends just let me in the house alone talking to the ghost while they stay on the truck xD then I learn about Demon and mf change my life. When my friends and I are low on cash, we pack a flashlight each and go into Willow (the smallest map) on insanity. Once we get there we scatter into the house looking for the bone. There being 4 of us, this is pretty quick and we get the hell out of there before we get hunted. With the multiplier, this is 60 free dollars (more if you take the photo). We've done this probably upwards of 50 times and only got hunted once, and that was with a demon after we'd voted a random map and got prison.

Has others have said no it doesn’t have any advantages too it, I do it from time to time but like Insym I play at a very low brightness and it’s always fun to play in complete darkness at times that or I’m a little insane 😂 so crouching helps me navigate against the walls to go to the different rooms at times.

i also think that the forced SB is unnecessary for deo. like they can keep it as long as they add more ghosts with both DOTS and writing as evidence. Because the only two ghosts that have both of those is Deo and Thaye, so in a Nightmare run, if you get those 2, its an automatic Thaye bc Deo has to have SB. There is no real skill into finding out which ghost it is that Nightmare mode is supposed to make you do

I tried insanity after the equipment upgrade patch and I love it. It’s gotten me to step my game up BIG time and get way out of my comfort zone. Getting it right feels SO satisfying. Also, it’s funny seeing how this used to only met you under 1k 😂. Gets you like 3k now lol

I've only played one game on insanity so far and the ghost gave itself away within the first minute, almost a mirror of Insym's first game but thankfully for me it was normal speed (demon). It's so easy to drop 5%, the demon doesn't even need to use it's ability to give itself away.

Idea for a Yurei fix: keep the rare door sanity drain and repair it so it doesn't seem obvious, but add a special ghost event where it appears standing behind you making no noises not flicker lights and not touch a door, just staring at you and not even moving, only it moves its head to follow you. This special ghost event would continuously drain sanity at double the rate (a callback to the rumor that Yurei would drain double your sanity) as long as the ghost keeps staring, only stoppable after 10 seconds or touching it where it drains 20 sanity outright unless the room is lit. Would make Yurei super scary. Also it would kind of be like older Phasmo where the ghost events were hyper scary.

1:12:57 that run right there is why I refuse to even try this mode. These ghosts' behaviors need fixing badly before 1- or no-evidence runs are reliably playable for me. You can know a ghost's behavior patterns all you want, but if they act like another ghost you're just wasting your time, having less fun, and cursing the game as it takes all your rewards away or kills you. I know from personal experience seeing this all the time that unless a ghost is hunting (and there are even some that misbehave while hunting,) you can't rule any ghost out truly, which indicates to me that this stuff needs fixing; and that evidence is a necessary part of the gameplay to counteract it. The more evidence they take away in these new difficulties, the more glaringly apparent both the AI problems, and the necessity of evidence become. From your example, there's just no counterplay against a ghost that just doesn't do anything or that changes rooms without any indication that it's done so. You either wait for nothing to happen or you eventually get surprise hunted from some other part of the map and killed. And if you do as a player what you, Insym, did in this case the devs designed it so you get nothing for your time, despite surviving. It's a lose-lose for the player. The devs need to focus a lot less time on nerfing both the player and the gameplay experience, and instead focus a lot more on fixing ghost AI and adding content. This game needs far, far less feels-bads and many more feels-goods. Right now, playing it isn't rewarding. It used to be, before all the player nerfs under the false pretext of 'horror.' Horror doesn't have to be infuriating, nor should it be. Thank you, Insym for this video though. It's very enlightening.

The fatest death ive had was 20secs. I was at the starter house which i use as a warm up and i walked in the door, grabbed the car key and bam, dead on the floor. The demon made itself known almost instantaneously😂 Love your vids and your streams. I have learnt so much and am now faster as recognising traits associated with ghosts and their ability.
