The Trash Panda Extraterrestrial. I think it's speed flight numbers should be something like 13.7 - since it has speed 13 but also speed 7.
I was lucky enough to get it a bit early and try it out in this video. It's actually an insane disc and I think a lot of people are going to like it. The tomahawk appeal and the "revolutionary" concept I think it has both boost this disc to interesting heights.

My hypothesis without seeing or throwing the disc: If thrown with the same speed and torque, it flies exactly the same no matter where you hold it. However, if you throw it the same way every time without accounting for the rim sizes, then those differing rim sizes will lead to differing torques on the disc out of the hand, leading to the illusion of different stabilities.

In theory different rim size may change your grip strength and by that way lead to different flies, but looks like size difference is pretty small and probably not affect.

I also wonder if the difference in weight on either side of the disc makes any difference. It seems to me that it could be possible for a higher weight on the edge of the disc opposite from where it's gripped could cause a slightly higher spin rate, resulting in slightly different flight characteristics than if the disc was gripped from the heavier side.

@@ryanfaber9384 Good point. I might require for effort, to get more spin, when the thick side is further from your rotation point. But in the end, the rotational inertial should be the same for both, so I'm still skeptical. Attaching a tech disc/game proofer to the disc would be a good way to check the spin.

y'all were bending it to be more under stable by making it more Domey. I use the epic and you need to bend it up a bit more and i have gotten it to go 500 before. i used you play baseball as well. So excited for the e.t.! also the epic is a lighter disc so wonder if the et was lighter if you could achieve the same type of flight, because at the end of the flight it almost looks like it wants to turn at the end.

My best guess is that it's more in how you grip and release it differently, theoretically at the same speed, spin, and angle it should fly the same regardless of how it starts, but holding a different part of the rim will lead to it coming out of your hand with more or less spin, both from how much skin contact you have with the disc, and how the disc catches the air during your throwing motion. Probably very hard to get it close to being as consistent as just having two separate discs with the flight characteristics you want. But a cool concept regardless, and for some specific shots like that tomahawk, you might want a disc that flies a certain way, but it's hard to get the proper grip on a uniform disc that gives you that flight.

I wonder if it flies different because it’s weighted differently. So if you hold the thin side and whip the thick side around when you throw it, it’ll get spinning faster than if you hold it on the thick side. But I think I would have to hold it to see if that makes sense.

My hypothesis is that the gyroscopic affect will differ depending on where you grip. Gripping from the thinner side puts more torque on the disc because the thicker rim (more weight) is on the outside and vice versa.

Haven't read the comments, but I predict you are getting more spin holding the thin side when thrown backhand. This could be because of the weight of the thicker side whipping around your hand.

@@MDestroyerX the Ozone is a super fun disc. I feel like it’s flippier than it’s -3 turn. I really enjoy it and it’s a fun backhand disc but I’ve also had some luck with the sidearm hyzer flip too. This one seems like it’s gonna be more stable. So really depends on what you’ve got in your bag. I’m definitely picking one up as soon as it hits my local brick n mortar!

Holding the disc on the different rims won't affect the flight because the disc would spin and fly the same.

The centroid of the angular moment of inertia (sort of the center of mass) relative to the pivot point (your hand) changing will change the rotation speed because of the way that you throw discs. Flight speed of your hand might not change but the rate of rotation will change.
