Also, next you obviously need to do Satins. Then balm-type lipsticks. I just ordered that new formula from Suqqu. So I guess that would put it the Sheer category. I'd watch a show on that.

At 72 I might be your oldest sub, and in my long experience of beauty influencers, nobody does these comparisons and reviews better than you. The only problem is that you have influenced me into some pricey purchases like my beloved Hermes prunoir. I'm not much of a matte wearer due to my chapped lips, but I do own and enjoy a Dior rouge. For me, PML matte lipsticks apply super smoothly on my lips and stay quite comfortable throughout the day compared to some of the others that you ranked higher. Videos like this are always a good reminder how much preferences play a role and just how our different lips jive with different formulas. However, they're still entertaining nonetheless! Thanks for all the work and dedication you put into this. I'd love to see more ranking videos 💛 Edit: have the TF lipsticks been reformulated in recent years? Mine turned quite quickly, so I'd love to know if they're a more long lasting formula.

I love Lisa Eldridge lipsticks. The story-telling is fab and the colours are even more fab. My only issue is that shades sell out and it takes forever for them to come back in stock!

I am always here for lipstick rankings! Yay! I personally find the Charlotte Tilbury matte formula horrible, unfortunately. It's extremely uncomfortable on my lips and I think it dries down to a rather cheap look. I don't even have dry lips and my lips look more hydrated with liquid lipsticks than with her matte revolution. It's a pity, since I do like some of her limited edition packaging and it would have been nice to have them. I think that Hermès has a very particular shade range. While they present pinks, reds, etc. - so very normal colours - I find them all to have a little twist that makes them unique. I don't own their matte formula, just the satin, but I think I'll pick one up soon.

I love that you kept this video to mattes. So, so helpful! I’d love to see you do the same for satins formulas and for super glossy formulas! ❤ I like the CT Matte Revolution, too! It doesn’t get the hype anymore, but it deserves it. I can’t WAIT for RMS to put out some nudes in this formula. They are SO SURPRISINGLY GOOD!! I love, love, love these, but so far there’s only 3 shades I want/need. I’m shocked the Gucci was so low on your list! I LOVE this formula, and their shades are amazing and unique! I don’t find they dry out my lips at all. I do find the LE fairly drying over time on me and 2 of my bullets have broken. 😢 But my very, very favorite luxury matte lipstick is Prada. I’ve only tried the Hyper Matte formula so far but GAH! It’s so, so good! They are comfortable and they last in my lips! 😍 They were the only makeup items on my Christmas wish list. I want to try the soft matte soon! And I know they put more neutrals out recently!!

I haven’t tried the RMS lipsticks, but it does feel a bit like ‘one of these things is not like the others’ yanno? Like if you include those, you are opening the door to other high-end, but not luxury, like Makeup by Mario, or Fenty…. But, your ranking, your rules! And, I did love how you explained your criteria. The lip ranking I’d be most interested in is the long-wear mattes. If I’m going to wear a matte, those are the ones I go for, because I need something that is going to last through drinks and snacks. It’s hard to find ones that look good, wear well, and don’t crack off with pieces of my lips!

Ok…that RMS packaging is awesome. I’m finding I don’t value fancy packaging as much; I sincerely love the fact you can tell what color the lipstick is by the case. ..truly helpful when you have multiple colors.

I agree! I only have 2 RMS products so far. The Super Natural Radiance Serum with SPF and an eyebrow pencil. I just got the Pencil & loved the design. The cap over the Pencil is much longer than the cap over the Spoolie, so no guesswork! Also there is a plastic 'stopper' that hits the cap over the pencil....so no matter how much you sharpen & shorten the pencil you're never going to jam the cover into the tip!! Love this design because it is unique & liked the lipstick serum review as well! 💕

I don’t have many Matt lipstick because of dryness of my lips. However I can use Prada and geurlain and they are comfortable , also Dior transfer proof. I had one TF Matt sample that made my lips dry , the same for Dior Matt, but velvet seems different 😊

I have a lipstick addiction. I must buy them 😂. Some things I don’t like about certain brands….magnetized (hard to store together) and I really dislike when you have to buy the case separately. I just decluttered some Lisa Eldridge I had stored in my bathroom drawer in a lipstick holder. For whatever reason they had become very oily on the case causing the sticker on bottom of tube to disintegrate. It wrecked the plastic lipstick holder. I am not sure what to think of this……love your content. Edit: the lipstick holder cracking and breaking in 2 places may have been more related to storing a bunch of magnetized cases together. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lisa Eldridge is my favourite. It's great concerning pigmentation, lasting (6-8h) and those lipsticks make all lips look amazing (velvet as promised!). Chanel has the worst pigmentation and don't last long. Tom Ford is too balm-y (not creamy exactly but balm-y) and don't last long too. A bit the same case with Victoria Beckham & Guerlain as Tom Ford. Gucci is really good concerning pigmentation and lasting but those colors don't look so natural (even more classic ones). Hermes has wonderful colors but the formula is a bit too rich/heavy for me (a bit like Makeup by Mario). Pat McGrath is good because it has great colors, lasts long and looks nice on the lips so I think you're a bit harsh about those. I have two Prada's matte formulas and they're both really good but there's something strange about them because they don't look good with every lip liner (for example with Charlotte Tilbury's it's fine but with Pat McGrath or Makeup by Mario no). I love Charlotte Tilbury's lipsticks because they apply and look so natural on the lips. That formula rocks. My favourite reds are Armani. Dior is overrated.

Dior is my #1 favorite luxury lipstick, and I love them all, from the Forever Mattes, to the Satin and to the Balm. My favorite everyday lipstick is Clinique Color Pop - Cherry Pop, Blush Pop, Bare Pop - really lovey lipstick too. Dior Forever is the best long wear lipstick on me and it doesn't dry out my lips.

I am shocked PML is so low! I LOVE the mattetrance formula - it feels light but it does not move. If needed it almost lasts, but as long, with a balm of gloss over it. My second is Armani matte rouge which isn't sold anymore. Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Tom Ford, etc are okay but nothing memorable to me. I will say the Gucci packaging is the best!

Great video , Sofia! I bought several Dior and they were just ok! I like that they are refillable though! It’s great because I have used one shade up. That said I finally purchased some Charlotte Tilbury and fell in love with her matte revolution and the kissing formula, both! I tried ND lipsticks too - they weren’t in this video unless I missed it but the formula is great-they don’t seem to be talked about compared to her e/s

I don’t have Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet, however love regular Rouge Allure. I love old Dior - I didn’t try the new formula yet. Gucci is one of my favourites too, however I’m not crazy about their shade range. I’m surprised about high ranking of Guerlain - while the formula is very comfortable they don’t last on me more than an hour. I would love to try Prada, but right now in Canada is practically impossible to get it.

I don't have many luxury lipstick. However I recently gotten the Dior premier lipstick and I love it. The shade range isn't the greatest, but everything from packaging, to formula and the shade (Rouge premier 1) is just perfection. The downside is the price, but it is just like a piece of art, the ceramic case. ❤. I don't know if it is because it's new in my collection and I just want to keep using it while its still fresh and exciting. But I am really enjoying it.

I have a few Prada lipsticks on my list for the Sephora sale, mainly based on your original review of them. They seem really lovely. My unpopular opinion for the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks is that while she has unique undertones, I wish that she had lipstick sample pack for some of them. I've had to give away some of her nudes (Velvet Muse, Affair) because they pulled so orange on my lips. I also find them more drying than the Guerlain so while I love the shades, I probably won't buy any more unless it's a very unique formula or the formula is changed more comfortable and less prone to breaking.
