Discovering new and varying techniques from other muas, as well as commonalities with one another, (i.e. Zabrena's empathy for having to create an arch, exclaiming "me too!" when she realized Stephanie's fave brush was also her favourite ) is always cool to see.

I love how respectful you are to all people, including other KZbinrs. You are a good model, both inside and out. I have a question, too- how did Wayne's technique wear throughout the day? My face gets oily really easily, so I would love to know how long the beautiful look lasts. Thanks!
@Zabrena4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your kind words! :) It got very shiny LOL I had to blot a couple of times! Next time I would eliminate the facial oil and reduce the moisturizer, and add a primer. I would still keep all the products cream based and add a light dusting of powder, I think it would hold up much better with those minor tweaks!
@etheladdams25624 жыл бұрын

This is similar to what I do for stage makeup in situations where the face has to be very defined to stand up to the lights but also look very natural. I always use powder over it (the lights and costumes get really hot and sweaty!) and then setting spray or even just water in a fine mist to make it look less cakey. It does look really natural, but unless you have very dry skin, this is going to look oily quickly without any powder.
@rifflinthemind.57934 жыл бұрын
I like Goss' channel because he always encourages people to think about what they are trying to achieve with make up, thoughtful placement vs fancy products. And he caters to softer looks rather than drag techniques (not to knock drag techniques at all, they are beautiful.)
@jasonmack25694 жыл бұрын
This drag queen agrees with you. Drag techniques are to create an over the top look; feminize a masculine face; and be seen on stage in a dark night club. Also, they can take a long time to perfect. Wayne's techniques are easy to master and look great. I love his eye tutorials. Plus Wayne is not hard on the eyes. 😉

Wayne Goss technique to do your face is method I used to do my makeup for many years....moisturize , concealer, contour, foundation, then creme blush or lipstick high on the cheeks. 1970's thru 2016 . I may go back to this method. We also used a white or cream eye shadow below the brow bone & high on the cheeks....we didn't call it highlighter....lol We used our makeup products as ( 2fers ) double duty....we owned fewer makeup products in the 70's 80's & 90's & 2000's then after 2010 everyone seemed to have hundreds of makeup products. Zabrena the face makeup technique was a great look for you. Thank you for reminding how I used to do my face makeup. ♡♡
