You should train to be a professional ice skater in 30 days. I think you'd do great cause you'd have a lower centre of gravity cause of your height. Edit: Chill everyone that is commenting on this, it was just a fun idea, doesn't mean she HAS to do it. Yikes, she can change it to longer if she wants or even not do it at all. That is the point of her videos, she does what she wants to do. She TRIES to do challenging sports. Her whole channel is about challenging herself. Please don't make this comment thread about debating the challenges of a sport that not everyone had the same experiences in. Everyone is different, embrace that fact, and be thankful that the people who are commenting on how long they've skated for have been able to skate for that long. Congratulations to all the people in this thread that have been able to get their jumps and spins either a month into skating or years into skating. I didn't mean for this comment to turn into a debate and I was even debating with myself whether or not to delete this comment so I stop causing arguments but I REALLY want to see Michelle try this amazing sport that I have found and had so much fun experiencing. I myself have only been figure skating for just over a year and as a 21 year old I was the oldest in my classes and not a lot of people thought I could do it, but with determination, anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it.

runway isn’t rlly about the models it’s about showing designers’ clothes and collections. If someone is too petite, too curvy, too skinny or they’re just not meeting the requirements for specific brands, it’s not the end of the world if they get rejected to walk on the runway 🤷🏽♀️ i’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with diverse fashion shows but high fashion shows tend to hire tall and slender models because the clothes sit well on their bodies and the outfits can be seen better. Not to mention the amount of money and time it would take to prepare the samples for the clothing

They probably didnt cover it because theyre not ready to move on to short models. It would make it more complicated to make fashion shows. I am a model 5’7’’ and i had given up on modeling for high fashion, maybe theres hope, but maybe not.
@lilarodrigues26985 жыл бұрын
I think it is because of Michelle height, and their inability to like short models, they can't accept anything short, or someone with different body type. They are just allowing people of colour as of recent, they are still on the model has to have 5'8 and above idea. Which is terrible, because many beautiful women like Michelle cannot walk runways because of that.

I was very happy and excited to see the lady with the prosthetic leg. All that's missing now are us women over 40 plus or 50 plus which shows more diversity. Let's face it, we cannot stay 18-21 years old forever. Fashion should be for ALL since again, "you don't have to be one size, JUST BE YOU!" ALL WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! Perfect example, see Chelsea Werner's video: She's a gymnast and a fashion runway model with Down Syndrome! God bless her and all women like her. Women like her are THE DEFINITION OF BEAUTIFUL JUST BEING YOU!!

but i think we all can agree that this will not change the fashion industry anytime soon. the only reason they took her is because of her follower numbers, they wouldn't have let her walk if she was just a regular short girl. i think this line is trying to put more diversity, more color, more unique features, and her being 5'2 and having such a huge number of followers would give this line more publicity and positivity from her fans. thats how the modeling industry works. if you dont think its true then how do you think kendell got to walk for high end brands with no experience or as much hard work... its all about numbers in this industry.

@@loud_hailer6240 they have followers BECAUSE they are models ... people need to be more realistic.. the fashion industry wont change just to make short people feel confident... that is something they need to fix on their own.. and I agree, this girl was only chosen for publicity for the line.. still good content and video though
@asminamalla21475 жыл бұрын
twilit there are thousands of girls trying to get in to modeling and acting career every year. Kate moss was one in a million who's dreams came true doesn't mean every model's dreams are gonna come true. I want to be positive and tell people to follow their dreams but realistically speaking it would hurt them in the long run. I want to be positive but you don't realize how thousands of women every year have been rejected and tossed around like objects, trying to make it big in the industry. but it doesn't happen to everyone, so they get depressed and suicidal cause throughout the yeaaaars of rejection they think they're worthless and don't have it in them. Do you know how mentally damaging that is? There are gonna be soooo many young females watching this and thinking "if she can do it, i can do it too" but they haven't seen the dark side of the industry. Trust me i know what it's like. I've been through that. Giving false hope is more hurtful than just saying the truth and being real about this modeling industry. Because then you're gnna have to learn the hard way. It's hard to love yourself and be confident when you've been completely broken down and shattered before. And speaking of kendell jenner im not trying to hate im totally happy for her. But it's actually not fair that she didn't have to start from the bottom like everyone else did. ALOT of people who are wayyyy more talented than her are still in the bottom only because they don't have big name like jenner/ kardashian. You can't deny the fact that the only reason she's modeling for high end brands is because of her family. I get it that height is a basic requirement to be a model but there is sooo much more to it than just being tall and pretty. Im just saying that she didn't earn it, it was just given to her. And she's still an amature. She still has so much to learn. And that learning she could've done before she started modeling for big brands, like everyone else did.

@emalinel5 жыл бұрын
I assume when you build muscle, especially in the butt and legs, you change the way the fabric lays on your body. Also beauty standards in the fashion industry are ridiculous and are constantly pushed to another level from all the editing that goes behind the scenes on traditional model photoshoots --> magazines etc. So really it's a combination of what the client wants (because of the standard dimensions of their clothing or how they want it to look on the runway) and what society wants a runway/fashion model to look like
@lavone55415 жыл бұрын

My friend is a model, and when he was in India for 6 months he got too big - he was hitting gym really hard. He lost jobs until he got smaller again because the clothes was too tight on him. No designer will sew clothes just for THAT model, they do it by standard and months after the clothes is done (few days before the show, often the same night of the show) then they pick models. Models are just moving hangers, not a beauty standard. There are so many models that have constant gigs that those famous ones dont even fill the 1% of the overall number. So, for the industry and designers model is just a standardized hanger that keeps clothes in focus, media made it a (wrong) beauty standard taking the focus off the clothes. The industry does support that because famous model will bring rich buyers who will buy the clothes just because that model wore it, but designers still need those standardized hangers that put beauty and focus back on the clothes.
