It will be interesting if you catch and preserve or take note on what species are usually found after these "Fish Rains" and try researching if these fishes are found in the nearby river or any nearby water body. That will be a huge clue in solving this mystery.

Not necessary, in the end of this video he indirectly debunked the Fish Rain. He stated that what is defined as Fish Rain to westerners is fish falling from the sky but for some other nations, Fish Rain could be a storm that brings fish to rural communities. In other words, the Fish Rain or the idea of fish falling from the sky is a complete hoax.

@@fln11 Yeah. They are called 'barbels', however, locally we call them "mustaches" too, lol. From it we can understand that mostly/only fresh water fishes are getting caught here. But catfish is a broad term. You can find a species of catfish wherever you go. Hope some expert releases a detailed research inspired from this vid.

This one "strange" looking fish is some kind of cichlid 9:09 Probally is in aquariums. Google cichlid species in the area if you want to identify it. You said you really want to know so you should follow through. Also google catfish species in the area to find out what species the catfish are. The more common ones were called sardines in the other video but I think that they are probally not true sardines. You know how local names can be. What they call a sardine we may say is not a sardine.

Great series, I love that people seriously got made that you were having fun running with the mystery to give it a chance instead of being a scientific practical douche. Its called adventure folks, the mystery is half the fun. If you know everything and dont allow yourself to be swept away by the allure of another culture you're not truly living. Skepticism is important cause it’s what drives big discoveries and explanations, that said, people need to understand that the Fish rain, wasn’t always in that part of the region, when we talk 20, 30, 40, 50 years ago, the people from this era living in Yoro, will tell you their stories about this phenomenon, places where no overflowing river will get the fish, it’s called fish rain for a reason, not for the last years but for generations… coming back to skepticism, thank you Peter for going to my home town to experience this yourself, the feeling it’s incredible, I would invite everybody, cause talking and create hypothesis to why this isn’t true while far away it’s easy, but to actually go and try to document this, it’s a big deal, bless you Peter!

Those fish are commonly found in our region Arunachal parades(India) while Rainy season. That strange looking fish is #karimeen_ongo(local name) when the Rainy season starts the fish swim opposite to water current and at the end of rainy season the swim downward to the main rivers near by
