This is a fun game but hard for beginners. Just shoot everything in sight and dodge everything because one touch kills you. This game is basically Rambo, Commando, Aliens, Predator, Terminator and Independence Day combined into one and encapsulated into this game. That also goes for the other Contra game sequels in the series. It's pretty much the over the top 80s action movies in video game form. It's fun watching someone play this game for the first time. You guys should also play the other Contra games if you want.

This was a fun playthrough! I think your husband and you will enjoy another classic game from the 90's. Metal Slug series from SNK Games. It's absolutely fun, run and gun game

@@goth-wife No, not as hard. but, yeah, I couldn't make it without dying. So, take that into consideration. It's more fun with some comedic gags and character styles

Without the code, as a kid I think I got to level 6 boss. But to your question hardest game (I'll list games) I beat as a kid without cheats, Double Dragon 1 & 2, Zelda 2, I also beat Wrath of the Mantra, but at the time I didn't find it as hard as I do now, compared to some others. I beat FF1 and MM1 and Metroid 1 but not as a kid, as an adult. Ninja Gaiden Sigma on Xbox

Haha. I literally grew up playing zero video games. It's fun to try though and my husband gets a kick out of it.
