Unless you’re talking abt the years MHs we’re made and popular, Barbie looks more ‘normal’ now, with different body types, normal, curvey, petite, and tall and is SUPER diverse. It began in 2016 I believe, and nobody had a problem with it up until then. adults and parents were mad abt it because she “set unrealistic beauty standards for girls” because she had a tiny waist and stuff and was a very glam fashion doll. Thing is, her waist was even smaller before then, like in the 90’s and before. Either way, idc if dolls have exaggerated proportions because they are a form of art. Barbie is my favorite doll ever, and I know a lot abt her and the brand (not trying to show off or anything, just wanted to explain.) But I did play with MH dolls when I was younger.

i would disagree, the dolls and the clothing had so much quality in the early dolls. the only "cheap" joint in the hip (that was an elastic in the 2009 dolls) was later changed in 2010 for a stronger plastic joint.
