What's both hilarious and terrifying to me is that over the course of Kirby's battles, you can see him succumb to pure madness, in a manner similar to Dark Matter. He even uses attacks that have connections to Dark Matter, like the Dream Portals- a similar move is used by Magalor Soul in Return To Dreamland. I love the continuing dynamic of friends killing friends, suicide and Kirby’s sadistic torture methods throughout the entire thing. Some of my favourite moments have to be when Solid Snake is thanking Kratos for being such a good mentor while he bleeds out at his feet; Link cradling his former friend Mario as he slowly dies, unsure wether or not the means he took to achieve his goal were justified by the ends; Kirby’s many moments where he appears to toy with his victims before brutally murdering them in a single blow, and, who could forget; Master Chief’s surprise return to claim the ultimate victory.
