Ludi, 11:49 Bandar Abbas was leased to Oman by Persia in the late 18th century until 1868. Persia attempted to take Bandar Abbas a few times but were defeated by Oman until terminating the lease in 1868. There's some more specifics to it if you want to know more!

You're right about the "-Stan" suffix meaning "Land" in Farsi (Btw Farsi means Persian in Persian). Even you can see on other occasions as well, they still call Poland "لهستان" which can be read as Lehistan. Meaning the land of Lehs. Which originates from the name of ancient Poland "Lechia". And it inluenced other languages as well. Historically Poland is known as Lehistan in Ottoman Turkish. Even though nowadays the country is Polonya - Poland, the Polish language is called Lehçe which I believe can be interpreted as Lechian.

In some situations, the Livestock ranches can produce enough fertilizer for your grain farms. I would suggest switching the livestock ranch first then farms and seeing if there is a deficit. 13:30

This is tough to balance well. Livestock can support farms at about 1:1 ratio in terms of fertilizer, but there ends up being a pretty large meat surplus which makes them very mediocre in terms of profitability. Getting a chemical plant going to also get explosives for mines and military tends to be a better long term investment.

Yo Ludi, the livestock farms also generate the fertilizer (obviously, damn cows), but means you can instantly change over the farms if you have a ratio 2 fields 1 livestock farm i believe. Really benefits over waiting for chemical plants, perhaps even to a degree where you dont need to stop constructing which is massive

Well a Qajar king sold almost the entire economy for a loan so he could travel to europe so the country being backwater like that isn't really surprising Also a part of south and most of the north were controlled by russians and brits which is not represented in the game so it's better than what it actually was.

pakistan actually has a different etymological origin than the other stan countries, since the name originates from the 20th century while india was getting it's independence from britain. according to wikipedia, it both means "land of the pure" and is a combination of Punjab, Afghania, Kashmir, Sindh, and Baluchistan.

Hey if you switch your cattle farms you actually get fertilizer. You can actually get soil-enriched farming practically for free simply with this change. The 3rd tier of farming production methods will need fertilizer, but the first one you can get practically for free only with that change.

Pakistan being the 'land of the Pakis' is not entirely correct. Although it does mean 'land of the Pure' in Farsi/Persian, the origin of the word as the name of nation comes from the independence activist Choudhry Rahmat Ali, who derived it from an acronym of its five constituent regions: Punjab, Afghania, KashmIr, Sindh, and baluchisTAN. So in a way, the 'stan' in Pakistan means nothing at all.
