Grafix contacting you for a partnership thing is SO far overdue. I'm thrilled to hear it finally happened. I can't imagine how much medium chipboard your videos have sold. Almost all terrain youtube channels I watch regularly have used it at one point or another and most still do.

Seriously…. Congrats. Know that I bought some specifically because of your videos

Anyone twitting you about using crystals, beads, etc. in your builds didn't own the original AD&D Players Handbook. What would rogues do without gems to steal? Also, thanks to your wife for letting us see her reaction. 🤣 My wife had a seriously good laugh. She's had similar expressions on her face.

Hopefully Mrs wyloch's(wyfeloch's) reaction was a good thing... I'm not real sure what my significant other would think about me using real diamonds on a model for d&d would be... something tells me she would think I had finally lost it completely...

You should run some games with this terrain.Really I mean you put all this effort into it, I'd totally like to see you incorporate it and see your Dm style.
@Ando2k103 жыл бұрын
I agree. It'd be awesome to see players run through the dungeons that you model. You could even make the dungeon models, film that, run players through it, filming that, then, time permitting, release two videos a week, with one being the gaming of a few rooms then the video of how you made those particular rooms.

Omg, I love the gem montage! I do, however, think it shows off just how few gems you actually use. Perhaps you could surround the large gems with smaller gems. And use gem dust as a background of sorts. This could improve previous projects easily and help you REALLY lean into this. Besides, it’s D&D. You can never have enough gems.
@lilcwa3 жыл бұрын
Fantastic video for an epic crafting projects. Also-Disney tie-ins aside-I’m glad you decided to eschew (yes, I said eschew...) your original color scheme for the monster; generally, crabs aren’t red until after they are cooked-and I’m assuming you weren’t intending to serve the monster as a buffet! Again, fine work!

When you were reading the description of the flood doors, I was convinced you said that the doors could only be opened by "fiveting" them, not "pivoting." I spent about three minutes looking up "fiveting" before I realized what you actually said. Congratulations on the Graffix sponsorship, you absolutely deserve it.

I love your step by step project videos. It's so helpful to see things as you go. I'd love to see you do a video walking through the Age of Fantasy Skirmish Quickstart guide using the 2D models or similar, like you did your grim dark future video. I've painted minis, I have an airbrush and a 3D printer, but I've never played a single war game and I'm still really unsure about hosting a game between friends. Things like setting up the terrain, deployment, and other fundamentals still seem really confusing. Either way, thanks for all you do Wyloch!

If you haven't run this dungeon yet, a great alternative monster to use in room 16 is a Morkoth. An abyssal creature that takes the shape of a giant squid, which is the main different between the crab and a Morkoth. It, like the crab, keeps a horde of treasure on its back, and for added challenge it has a psychic element to it when you enter the vicinity of quite a sizable area so the entire dungeon could have an added layer of danger.

Well actually (this being that internetty thing😉): An oval has two straight sides and two half circles for ends. What you drew is an ellipse. But that is indeed how you draw an ellipse (and the map looks like it has an ellipse as well, so, yay). Very nice result.

15:55 I have definitely experienced this. When I'm just crafting, I frequently make stuff that makes me go, "dude, yeah!" But when I have a specific plan to follow, by the end of it I often feel pretty meh about the whole thing. I think the source is expectation. I think if I have no or low expectations, I'm allowing myself to just be creative; but if I have high expectations and a specific goal, I'm stifling myself. also, *S U P E R - T E T A N U S*

Use clear gloss modge podge instead of more resin to fix cabochons and use airbrush on it for more bubbling. Also some fine wisps of pillow stuffing for steam on top as it cures.
