Just to add further: Traditional mech usually relies on staying defensive with tanks, maxing out, then moving across the map. Battle mech is constantly looking for fights early and often. That is why "battle" is in the name. Cyclones and hellions don't scale well, so you constantly want to try and take favorable trades to keep army supplies on both sides low.

idea for you that I used to have fun with: find fast build order for adrenalings with burrow and nydus. you wreak havoc burrowing a ling in random places to block expansion and keep spread out vision in their base with several burrowed lings to spawn more nydus and constantly harass to death.

"old man's hand", Marc says at the young age of 27. If he got slower it is because of less practice since retiring, not because of his age. 😆I dare to state that that won't happen before you are at least 40 years old. I am an old guy now (above 40) and I still perform top at platform-games, like beating all bosses in Hollow Knight hitless. I am sure that eventually you get a bit slower, but not at 27 or younger.

Hi Marc, love your videos, I have a suggestion for a series - unsieged units to gm. This means unsieged tanks for anti ground and unsieged libs for anti air. Cool idea, you can also show the opponent unsieged widow mines to scare him from going mutas or lings which counter the tanks. Also, maybe tank drops with a medivac could be cool. This might be too hard of a challenge but after pf rush to gm worked I thought I might suggest it anyway 😅

I love the end of game 3! It is important to note, that your supplies are equal, but you have 50 less workers so you really had absolutely no choice but to attack, and being 50 army supply up gives you an enormous advantage doing so.

Just an idea (might be not a good one) : Make a small army group made out of Ghosts and Banshee to harass bases, the Banshee can deal lots of damage while the ghosts could deal with detection units (in this case the Overseer ? Don't know the English name for the unit, you know, like the chinese spy balloon but Made In Zerg and possibly the Spore Crawlers too) At the same time, make whatever army comp you like as the "Main Army" Maybe even mix the challenges ? Like instead of a Planetary Rush, try to make a heavily fortified position (most likely in the middle of the map) or multiples (around the second and third base in order to block the different expansion paths) early in the game while you are harassing the enemy with invisible units and expanding really fast (not with bases near your Main Base but the ones around your fortifications, taking as much ressources from these places so that if the enemy breaks your defense they'll end up with not so much ressources as they would normally The more I think of this, the more it sounds bad, it would be expensive to make fortified positions, it will makes some pretty long game if both sides play well, it would be an attrition type of game : holding the defense and harassing the few bases the enemy have as long as possible until the enemy's ressources are emptied to end it in a final rush, that would change a lot of what we see around, could be refreshing

You once mentioned that you don't repair often because of opportunity cost, but it seems to me that one bruised banshee at a time can be sent back and repaired without to much opportunity cost

In a perfect game he could, but the problem is players are human and cant do everything. Attention is an important resource in sc2 and is very limited. The 1-2 seconds you spend repairing a banshee could be better spent doing other stuff like microing in a fight

@@arcem84 considering how good hes been getting at hellion cyclone banshee it could have some potential though, its not that hard to click a banshee back to your main, press f1, pull one scv from mineral line and put it on autorepair. and if you pool some low hp banshees you can repair multiple with one scv on autorepair. with 300 apm you can do it in one second if you practice it i think. click low hp banshees back home, after you have 2-3 in the main, press f1, select an scv, right click scv to banshee gather point, press autorepair. thats 7 actions in total. i think the clicking accuracy on the minimap will be the biggest issue.

You lower your dps considerably when you remove 1 banshee from a group of 3-4 banshees to be fair. and you have even more stuff to micro, banshees already are somewhat microheavy so it seems like a lot altogether, but idk

@@TheSuperappelflap you'd also have to remove them from the group hotkey and then bind again back and forth. I'm surprised that pros don't use more group hotkeys but I guess that, too, costs attention and time. But it does hurt watching 10hp banshees running around 😭

@@EkusNet well there is a way to remove the banshees youre sending home from the hotkey and add them to another one with one action, i dont remember what it was exactly, ctrl alt and a number key or ctrl alt shift, something like that. or you can drag select the high health ones and rebind them to the hotkey, i find myself doing this once every couple of seconds anyway when im playing terran because youre usually rallying new units onto the map constantly

Marc, I can't stay silent this time, it has caused you painful (to me) losses to watch. If a player invests in an odd unit like Overlords in the second game, not doing anything about it will allow the player to use it as they need to for their strategy and let them increase their strength. Instead, add to your strategy to combat that threat to disable their strategy and give you the upper hand. A small Viking assassination squad would have ruined that part of his strategy and kept you from getting attacked at your main and getting parried so easily in your retaliations by his constant vision. I recognized that threat watching you in real time and knew your loss was highly probable as you ignored them which is why I'm leaving the comment. I truly enjoy watching your videos and appreciate your attitude and teaching. It's really nice to watch someone who is fun and clean. I've learned much from watching you because you explain things so well as you play.

Keeping the banshees on the ling/bane army was something I would have never thought of in a billion years. I think that was the only winning move, otherwise cyclones are crushed and the game is lost.

Advanced battle mech tactics is fly factories or barracks with your attack line, and when sieging tank lines place the barracks in front by landing... creates a better fire hole and nook... its like yoru moving a mobile armour column core of the navy or something, lol

I have been using this style before the patch. At some point its fine to add some mines then more and more tanks. The snowball of cyclone helion banshee is very powerfull, unless you play vs some braindead full ling baneling a click zerg. I think its now better to do speed banshee first, anyway zerg will spore asap so cloak banshee vs nice microed, speed banshee is maybe better in the begining.
