I'm in recovery... and if there's one resounding thing across the board that everyone says in the rooms it's just TAKE THE DAMN MEDS. Our program teaches us that we know when to much is to much of ANYTHING. I say take them but your recovery is different from everyone. Wishing you the best

Can you offset with over the counter? When I had mine I’d take a pain pill, 2h later Tylenol and then 2 hours later another pain pill. I don’t have any addiction problems but my surgeon says I only give 20 pills and no refills to avoid dependency on narcotics. I don’t know if over the counter meds cause problems with sobriety?

The best relief I got after knee surgery was via an ice water pump thingy with a knee wrap 😢❤️‍🩹. Painkillers are like pissing on a forest fire the first few days🥲😭
