So under that you can place the album cover which shows up through the hole, creating the illusion of it being physically behind him. That's the gist.

It's like anthony carefully creates the impression that he is standing: The green screen picture that you would normally hang on a wall at head-height, the generic ikea shelf that is also very commonly sold at larger scale to be used as room divider, the way anthony sometimes is lowkey dancing around or gesturing in his reviews which you sort of dont do sitting down usually, the perfectly straight posture. I can see why nobody expects him to be sitting. Having known the soul crushing truth the real revelation for me is that the shelf is NOT a room divider but rather is right at the wall. I always pictured him being in the middle of a large room with a couch or something on the other side of that shelf.
