Hi Alex, a great tip. Maybe I’m a bit OTT, however I clean mine after each round. The biggest tip I can give (I have a chemical engineering degree) is to use a PH neutral detergent. Standard dishwasher/laundry detergents are very alkaline (and will destroy the glue that holds everything in place) so the best substitute would be something marked as wool friendly (pH neutral) and a temp somewhere around 60’C. Soak for 5 minutes and do exactly the same as you have. 👍😎🇦🇺

In Canberra, summer is so hot I completely soak the towel twice per round. Only problem is other players will start using my towel to clean their clubs. Then I have a dirty towel. Try to tell them to wet their own. Haa! They shouldn't even be using others golf equipment during a round.

Great vid but i would never put the driver in hot water.the pressure change from the air inside can cause a vacuum to be created and denting the head or worse, the face.today's woods have thinner and thinner faces, crowns etc,its not difficult.

Really shouldn't use boiling hot water as heat can loosen the epoxy that holds the clubhead to the shaft. Have had heat from the sun loosen putterheads and grips here in Texas. So warm water is best with a touch of Dawn dish soap( 4 or 5 drops will do), Wipe grips with Zippo lighter fluid for restoring tackiness to grips and use with old teeshirt for polishing ferrules.

Everyone has decided iron covers are uncool but I take the iron covers off and throw the ones I use in a small cloth bag I carry. That way when I get home it's much nicer only having a few clubs to clean. The problem with the really hot water or leaving you clubs in a hot vehicle is the heat will, at very least, break loose any hot melt, and at worst, weaken the epoxy holding your club together. Cheers and enjoy!

Excellent video on club cleaning Alex! During a round of golf, I always make sure the face of the irons (especially the grooves) are clean before each shot. I actually remove any debris from the club after each shot. When I get home, I go into my garage and clean each club and grip. I use a glass cleaner type bottle with a sprayer with either a water or cleaning solution. I spray this on the head and use an old toothbrush to brush down. I then towel down, as you do.

Hi Alex - Golf Balls - Most amateurs play with the same ball for a number of rounds and at this time of year they get very dirty. Tip - at the end of the round drop the ball/s into a bucket of warm water and some bio-soap powder - leave overnight -in morning rinse with clean water - dry - ball/s like new.

There is a towel and also a ball cleaner out there that you can wet on one side and the other side stays dry. There must be a plastic sheet in between layers of towel. It has a frog logo on it. I have the ball cleaner which has an inner surface protected from air that stays wet for most of the round. Wetting the end of your towel as you do will not stay wet very long. You’d probably have to wet again at the turn. Good video for cleaning. My hint is to have a pail of soapy water in garage and clean them when you get home. Then the water doesn’t need to be hot because the dirt would not have dried hard yet and as you clean you can return to bag. Also Winn grips should not be cleaned with water.
