even after hearing Dimash several hundred times, I still tear up sometimes on SOS, Sinful Passion and Love is Like a Dream. I am pretty confident he is the most versatile and technically competent singer in the world. Best male vocalist of or time - gifted by God and honed by dedication and practice... he is amazing and beyond normal language to describe effectively. Glad to see you guys appreciate his talent. His songs are an emotional journey which he guides us through, it's not just hearing a song, it's feeling and experiencing a song.

Haha yeah you got to get into it when you're playing on stage with such an amazing singer! Love you guys! The bald percussionist who was playing all those different instruments did join Dimash's band and is now a permanent band member and you can see him exuberantly doing his thing in all the live stage performances and concerts. He's has just the right kind of dynamic personality. The band is called A' Studio and it's an established Kazakh band based in Russia. This song was a big hit for the band in 1998. It was sung here by Dimash in honour of the lead guitarist Baglan Sadvakasov who died in a car accident in 2004, and also of the band's keyboard player/songwriter who is a music coach for kids and teens. Dimash thanked him respectfully afterwards for his work with the youth and said it was an honour to sing in front of such an appreciative audience.

Dimash started as neoclassical or crossover singer. Now he is doing all genres, actually creating his own. He is great singing in Kazakh, Russian, Italian, Japanese, Chinese. He has a heavy accent in English, but does it musically brilliant. He composed an insane composition in Spanish for his fans from those countries. Lots of ethnic music, some opera, pop, blues, you name it.

7:57 Dimash, sang the Diva Dance in his 2017 Bastau concert. There are earlier versions such as from the Chinese I Am a Singer contest where he came in 2nd. The organizers did not allow a foreigner to take the top price. The winner has long been forgotten; while Dimash is now a global superstar! There us also a rare clip of him performing the Diva Dance when he was a teenager.

I think you may find watching "The Singer 2017" show fascinating on KZbin, but don't forget closed captions for Eng. subtitles. It shows the growth of Dimash on the show. He was invited to the show as a "dark horse". The first foreigner and the youngest contestant ever. They knew nothing about him except the producers, and they were shocked. He became an overnight sensation. The day after his first performance, S.O.S., they had to provide bodyguards and he thought it was a joke. After the show, he remained in China to record and do concerts. A studio with top-of-the-line equipment was built for him. He is still a very humble person who loves his family, his country and its traditions, and his "Dears". Even now he trains for 3-5 hrs. every day.

I can’t wait for you to do more reactions to this amazing young man! 🙏 ❤ This song was written and performed by the band Studio A who is accompanying him. Their lead singer passed away a few years ago and the ethnic piece of singing that Dimash did was a lament to him. I wish you had played the video to the very end as you would’ve seen his humility in thanking the band and also have noticed a man in a white shirt give a standing ovation. This is maestro Igor Krutoy a very famous composer who came out of semi retirement after watching this performance, to write for Dimash. As you go further down the Dimash road you will react to masterpieces (no exaggeration) where the two have collaborated together. The band playing was A-Studio. A Kazakhstan band. Dimash covered their song Sinful Passion. The part where he does that riff is a way of paying respect to one of the bands members who passed away some years ago.

This was another very enjoyable reaction and commentary. This was Dimash's 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts. Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh KZbinr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath. This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him. There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time. "The song Sinful Passion, was first performed in 1998 by the Kazakh group A’STUDIO and gained leading positions in the CIS charts. Sinful love soon visibly materialized in the clip with soloist Batyrkhan Shukenov. The talented vocalist left the band in 2000. Without the lead singer, “Sinful Passion”, recorded with the help of an English producer, lay in obscurity for nearly 20 years, never becoming a worldwide hit until Baigali Serkebaev seized it. He offered Dimash to play it in 2018, twenty years after its premiere. The words of the song are the inspiration of the famous poet and composer, People's Artist of Russia and Ukraine Ilya Reznik.
