Something I noticed is Wim's father gave him Republic Credits, not Imperial credits or New Republic credits, but those used during the Republic, seen throughout The Clone Wars for example. This could hint at how long this planet has been disconnected from the rest of the galaxy, which might also explain why they still have knowledge of the Jedi, especially since the Empire never had a presence here. I doubt the people on the planet even know about the Fall of the Republic, the Jedi Purge, the Civil War, or the formation of the New Republic. I also wonder if they know about the Clone Wars, or if their isolation began during the High Republic era or even the Old Republic, assuming the Republic Credits hasn't changed much in thousands of years. Most likely the High Republic is the cut off date for whenever this planet was isolated from the galaxy, a few centuries. I haven't watched or read anything set during the High Republic but the technology and architectural designs kind of gave me High Republic vibes, mostly the useage of white and gold two colours used heavily by not only the Jedi but the Republic during this time period. Time frame wise this show is set after Return Of The Jedi (1983). The New Republic was formed in 5 ABY a year after the defeat of the Emperor, though I think the series is set maybe a decade later, around the same timeframe as The Mandalorian. Since the intro makes it sound like The New Republic has been around for a while.

​​@@rhaenatargaryen8061 that "washed up Kylo Ren" is as a character and by name ( Bonjj Phaifa) a variation of Bob Falfa, the cruising race driver from George Lucas' second movie "American Graffiti", played by a very young Harrison Ford. So, the comparison to Ben Solo is on several levels very fitting. 😎😁

@analyticalplum oh so you liked it? even though it looks nothing like star wars and more like current day suburban America....you realize a third of the Galaxy has just been destroyed in a massive war so it's pretty clean and what's with all the Nazi robots controlling everyone's life this is not star wars.

Yes I did like it. There’s something going on with the planet, it seems to be alienated from the rest of the world so it doesn’t seemed to be involved with the other planets
