A microcosm of a mismanaged, horribly run organization that has missed the playoffs in 7 of the last 9 years sprinkled in one somewhat tainted NBA title. It's hard to imagine, but the lowly Lakers sank to an all-time low in class and respect here.

They fire him basically implying that the Westbrook trade was a good trade and it’s Vogels fault that Westbrook couldn’t play at his “potential” and fit with the way the team wants to play, whilst at the same time trying to trade Westbrook admitting it was a bad trade and he never would fit regardless of who coaches the team 😂😂😂 Well done lakers 👏👏👏👏🤦🏼‍♂️

As usual, a head coach getting the boot for the failure of the team. He should have another HC gig in no time. Lakers dug themselves into a huge hole with the Lebron/AD/Russ signings. Traded away their young talent to 'win now' and they can't even win now. The only way they could possibly salvage any of this is to enter full rebuild mode, because their contracts are eating up a large chunk of payroll.

@@bryansmith1691 The Clippers are better run than the Lakers. Let's be real. The Lakers 2020 title was very lucky. Old man Lebron and brittle AD got four months of rest. Without that, they wouldn't have won the title. The Lakers have been terribly run since Jerry Buss died.

@@MichaelJordanBelfort the 4-month break allowed AD to rest and get healthy. If covid never happened, he would have broken something by the time the playoffs started.

@@bryansmith1691 Do you realize the Clippers have a 28-6 record over the Lakers since Sterling sold the team? Under Sterling the Clippers were a joke but that was 8 years ago. If the Lakers were in any other market, no high level free agent would ever look at them. The bubble championship has a big asterisk next to it

Exactly. Tbh, a lot of Lakers fans were expecting Vogel to be gone during the All-Star break. So idk why people thought Woj dropping this news was shocking. Hell, even Vogel knew he was done.
