Question! Is she a bad ass or is she a girl boss? There’s a difference! Sarah Conner is a bad ass girl. Ridley is a bad ass girl. Whereas Rey is a girl boss. The difference is with bad ass girls it’s earned (they’ve trained, they’ve overcome struggles, they have a proper arc/ character growth) With Rey, she’s just on God-mode out the gate because she has a va j j. Is Héra a bad ass or a girl boss? (Or a mix I guess) If she’s Rey 2.0, I’m out. If she’s a bad ass, I’m ok with that. Just because females kick ass on screen doesn’t automatically mean woke.
