The golf r is my daily aswell, like you I can’t see me selling it at all. Great all rounder. Monday I’m having the subframe dropped and new apr sway bar and new arms fitted. I already did the rear.. it’s fast enough but now handles ❤

I agree with a few on comments a45s is sick but at the stage of were it is price wise it’s gonna keep losing £££ an if you push it 2hard an break it then even more££££ engines are solid it’s the gearbox that would worry me beyond 500bhp. Just my opinion 👍

I dunno, if you are not driving A45 because it is a money drain, I’d cut my losses and get rid of it. You have already a ”money sucker” which is the daily racer Golf R, and then you have the pet project in S3. I totally agree on selling S1, especially if you got a good offer for it. What you need is a daily which doesn’t drain money (aka. is reliable) and thus in my opinion cannot be brand new. So something like previous gen Golf GTI, Golf R, S3 and RS3 come to my mind due to DSG, familiar engines and general ease of use. However, if manual is fine I’d suggest Honda Civic Type R FK2. Prices are stabilized, Hondas in general reliable and that car is a pleasure to drive (fast). Not the most comfortable car, although for the driver seats are so good that it does not matter IMO. People will either hate it or love it due to its looks, and it is much more ”brutal” feeling car than any VAG-car ever is or has been. Keep up with the good content! Keenly waiting what is the next daily.

I get your pain with the a45s. I bought a rs3 and lost 10k within a few months when the market dropped. So now it’s a daily and well loved but no point me being scared to drive it. It’s lost money so I might as well use it

@@jim8462Have you seen current finance deals? Merc and BMW are out the window. Surprised anyone is buying a car from them considering how much of joke they are. Went to look at a X4M with 5 series trade in. Wanted 8 grand up front and payments were still 800 a month. If I paid off the car, it would be nearly 81 grand in total. Interest alone was nearly 25k

As a fellow (26year old) A45s owner, sell it. these cars will lose a ton of value overtime.... Bought mine new and lost an insane amount on it after 15k miles. Either enjoy it or sell it, not worth the financial headaches! None the less, lovely content

I have one and i haven't had a car that I have enjoyed so much. I bought it with 12k miles on it and it's done a reasonable amount of depreciation , hopefully it won't be a too big amount of depreciation in the next 3years . What car can you buy that doesn't depreciate that's equal to an a45s? Hopefully when it gets discontinued next year it will keep residuals higher!
