I absolutely love Oris. They are my favourite watch brand by far. It may be silly but the fact that they’re an independent brand and very much do their own thing really appeals.

omg Adrian, you have to go to Whistler or Jasper! You will absolutely LOVE it! .... Although rather less watches. ;) As a Canadian I just feel like I always need to shamelessly shill Canada. Amazing video! And I bloody LOVE Oris! This event couldn't be more Oris. And that's why I love this brand! This looks and feels so NOT pretentious. I love it! ....... But I also love the hoity toity events haha.Variety is nice. :)

Zermatt's probably one of the best places I've ever been to, completely agree! The vibes there are unreal. Also, very nice new Oris and great way of presenting it, says a lot about the company as a whole. Congrats on getting to live these experiences!

Love this video and Oris the brand. Great to see/hear about this. Reminds me of that story of the hotel bellboy asking “where did it all go wrong Mr Best?” When he brought champagne to George Best’s room, only to find him entertaining Miss World and the room covered in winnings from the casino. As you’ve earned your right to enjoy snow boarding in switzerland and drinking and dining with Oris….”where did it all go wrong Mr Barker?” Well done. Enjoy!

Great looking event, Oris gets how to do it. Just got a Caliber 403 BCPD in the mail and am awaiting a break in my day to crack into the box. The manual version is very, very appealing. Thanks for the trip to the Alps - never been, but based on these six minutes I may need to change that.

If I had the money, I would buy that new Oris instantly. It would go so well with Summer clothing; especially jeans and a linen shirt. Also casual winter clothing. The colour and look of it is wonderful. It looks like it fits everything that Adrian is doing in this video.

Agree completely. Been to Zermatt 4x for skiing trips. It's better than can be described. Actually got snowed in the first time, in Nov 96. A blizzard dropped more snow than the services could clear. Subsequent trips were fantastic. NTM the apres-ski life, as well. Cheers.

Absolutely fell head over heels for this gorgeous pointer date Oris. I had to exercise restraint not to run to the boutique and order one immediately. Love the brand too, look like fantastic people to hand around with, and being in a beautiful location doesn’t hurt On the carbon footprint side of things. Having EVs buzzing around the lovely small city of Zermatt (population 6000, altitude 1600) is absolutely fine, but I suppose a fair share of these 25 journalists boarded international flights to Geneva airport and drove a good few miles to reach the venue. Let’s consider this before thinking all press trips are just good harmless fun.

Fantastic Adrian, been independent is important as it gives you freedom. Snowboarding down a mountain must epitomise that surely. Only ever been to the French alps once in the summer to watch the Tour de France at Alpe Duez then the other side of the same peak in winter for a long weekend trying to ski. Loved them both and the air quality is squeaky clean… snot free Lol 😆

I love Zermatt. They haven’t jumped on the ‘clean air’ bandwagon - I was there in 1981 and it was all electric even then - as part of a trip to Switzerland which coincidentally marked my transition from someone who liked watches to someone who was infatuated with watches. The actual moment of conversion was when, in a shop in St. Moritz, a jeweller let me try on an Omega La Magique and I was hooked. I spent the rest of that trip - and countless hours since - thinking of that watch. I hate Pacino for alerting the world to it. 😡

Good on Oris, I remember seeing content in the past by other journalists and content creators at a similar even; hope they continue to host one, I appreciate when Brands do something different like this. The new caliber is sick, be interesting to see what other models we see it in. Last few years Oris & Christopher Ward have been killing it, thanks for the great content Adrian, cheers.

An independent channel and an independent watch maker, it's great that you both do what you want to do. Having previously worked in multi national companies a huge amount of time can fly by while waiting for the business case and budget to get signed off by which time the budget and maybe the business case have changed. The older cal 400's time adjustment work around is easy, set the time 5 minutes in front of the actual time then wind the time back to the time to be set and just push the crown back in, zero jumping. I do this anyway with most of my watches to take up the gear slack. I'm a big fan of Oris and am very happy with my cal403 BCPD.

I love Oris and what they do. A brand without all the rah rah. Sounds like a great trip Adrian. You have the best job!. I think the watch is a touch expensive without being on a bracelet when the Diver 65 on the bracelet is about $1k less aud. Having said that I would love to have a watch with a 5 day power reserve. Keep living your dream job Adrian and please keep sharing your travels.

What a great intro Adrian! Awesome shots during the whole video as well. I really love Oris as well. One of the last independents with still quite affordable pieces. I'm deep down the watch collecting hobby for 8 years now. I owned more than 100 mechanical watches until today. 6 Oris watches until know. Still own two of them even though I moved up a little so to speak. Will never sell the remaining two piece because they're not only great but they're my testiment to the brand. Thanks for showing your experience, keep it up! All the best from Germany

I love this content style -ever since you did your Explorer 2 vid, I started looking at how our watches integrate with our lives as opposed to just what is hot/popular/etc. Great job! You should take a look at the new(ish) date just line -what Rolex has done in terms of increasing their robustness makes the 36mm (smooth bezel, oyster bracelet) an explorer alternative with a date function.

Love Oris, and love the big crown pointer date. The new movement is nice, watch is very comparable to the Cervo Volante collab one, which I prefer more, and it's mainly the price hike on the new big crown thats the killer, but that's probably what Oris has to do to stay independent.
