I see you have a different kayak now, but I'm wondering what your opinion of the Hobie Compass is, especially as a river fishing kayak.

I'd say if you're buying it because of the Ped drive it is okay. I have some major gripes with the compass, which I still have and use with clients. For the money, my opinion after 3 years is that it is way overpriced. It is overall pretty uncomfortable, allows way too much water in the hull, and is missing some basic features that Hobie was you to add for $$. I wouldn't purchase it again.
