My mother was insane. She would go off on rants throwing anything she could find at me. Grounded me for no reason. Would go through my purses and drawers. I could go on for days. The clincher was my senior year.... I found out I was pregnant and hid the doctor test in my drawer so I could tell my boyfriend first. She being her nosey ass self found it and flipped out. Yes I understand I was too young for a baby but I took responsibility for him. My mother tried to ground me and i was 18 and pregnant. Things didn't end until I told her I was moving out. She chose to move since I had a baby on the way and chilled some. She was in his life sporadically for a few years. I am now almost 44 and my kids are 25......21....and 18 and she does nothing for them nor does she know them. Her choice not mine.

Story 7: praying to the only true God, repenting, and turning your life around. I suggest this to every person who experiences unexplainable things. There is a world we can not see and hear unless they let us see and hear things. We can sense it but most people doubt what they sense or use their reasoning to explain it so they don't feel scared, weird, losing it, etc.

Well I'm glad I'm not alone at least. Life throws curveballs and hard times but the hardest thing I ever had to face was when my mother had a mental breakdown. Years of forgotten abuse came rushing back to me all at once. She was so good at being two different people that she had me convinced of false memories, she still has herself convinced and she conveniently can't remember anything that breaks the illusion of who she thinks she is. I survived total insanity and now, now that I've had time to put the pieces of myself back together, what I've seen, what I know about her life and what created that side to begin with, it beggars belief what evil people are capable of. I hope that I can never understand what it means to lose oneself so completely. It scares me that such psychopaths are in my family, not that they are a threat to me but I feel like it's in my genes. I've learned to be a moral human being but if I had kids would some of them turn out to have tendencies toward aggressive, angry, sadistic and cruel behavior? My family history scares the hell out of me and I just hope that I can be something better.
@Endymion766
@Endymion766 5 жыл бұрын
@@Scamalasaurus Thanks for sharing. It may be no consolation, but I believe that psychopathy does have some indirectly positive role to play in the great scheme of human evolution. I can't really identify what that role could be, though.

@@minhanueula.r.m.y769 Thanks, I'm alright, my head is just a bit messed up still but I no longer idealize suicide and I quit smoking last year. A wonderful habit that my mother introduced me to at 4 years old by getting drunk and handing me a cigarette. Right now I'm just putting my energy into being good at my job. I'm avoiding relationships for now because I have a hard time not imagining the worst from people and fearing that my own dark side will come out. I hope that I can get over that someday but for now I think I just need to come to really know myself and to let go of all of the rage before it kills me. Self hate is the worst part of it all because I can see her in me when I make that mistake and even if I know I'm doing it I can't stop. I've let go of a lot of it because I've come to realize that she didn't have control. She did all of it because she was driven and the harder she tried to fight the worse she would get. I don't hate her anymore because I know what created her problems and it was abuse on a level that I have a hard time even imagining. That said, it doesn't solve the problem of genetics. I'm actually thinking about going back to school in order to research the subject, perhaps I'll find answers to some of the more complicated questions regarding heredity. As it stands now I'm seriously considering getting a vasectomy but it breaks my heart because I always did want to have kids.

My dad sucked majorly when I was younger. He’d literally never pay attention to me (which I know isn’t much but it fucked with my head a lot) and he didn’t like to be around me. I went as far as to self harm just to get my dads attention (keep in mind I was 3-4 years old) and it was bad. There were other times were I was around my dad and he’d get drunk a lot and he’d talk to me like I was an old pal of his, going on about work or something pointless, something I didn’t understand but I was so happy he was talking to me I just didn’t care. I have a lot of... stories about my dad.

I had a year when everyone who had hurt me growing up had finally died. Life got a lot easier after that just knowing they were no longer in the world. Wish I had realized before those deaths that I could be free from them.

Why are so many young ppl today afraid of random mentally ill homeless folk? I swear to god, in a lot of these 'let's not meet' type stories I have more empathy for the 'creep' than the prejudiced, sometimes narcissistic, OP. 'So, I was walking home and just outside my front gate was a socially akward, mentally unwell, spectrum disorder, homeless person with an addiction problem. He looked a bit funny and alarm bells went off in my head. I kept my eyes glued to him coz I was worried he might do something to me as he was creepily staring at me. I booked it to my front door and was just lucky nothing happened to me. But boy, be careful out there everyone. Who knows what could happen. That was the scariest day of my life'. We live in the safest era to date but folks are more frightened of each other and the world than ever before. Society done f-ed up the younger gens through over-protection and fear-mongering. I hope they learn from our mistakes and raise robust, courageous, confident, anti-fragile people.

If I was the girls in the first story I would just have refused to even visit my Mom. I would have kicked and screamed and cried and begged and I would have done it at a very young age. Kids need to learn to stand up for themselves.

@Sara Wyldes Were you the girl from the story??? If so, my deepest condolences for such a horrible experience. My mother is also mentally ill (schizo-affective disorder) but I was lucky enough to have wonderful grandparents who adopted me. I guess we are very different, because I was a very stubborn child who did not easily forgive people. My dad's girlfriend was abusive toward me one time and I refused to even go near her for years afterward even though my dad was angry at me for not forgiving her.

@Sara Wyldes Yes I am very grateful. Funny enough, they adopted my mom too! She's been living with us most of my life. She's more like a big sister than a mom haha.

Uggghhhhh. Every time I hear someone go, "Oh it's just your mind playing tricks on you" or just not believing someone who CLEARLY HAS A REASON FOR WHAT THEY"RE SAYING, I just want to smack them.

3:11 that story is right, you get used to the abuse. My mom always downplays my feelings and nags me that all I do is do nothing despite what I actually did making me feel worthless. I have developed apathy and depression towards them and always expect people to treat me like trash like she does. I have yet to be free due to financial reasons. It’s verbal abuse but sometimes I feel it would be better if she hit me. She doesn’t pay attention to me accept for everything I do wrong and doesn’t let me live them down. It sucks but you get used to it. I’m numb to it now and avoid her as much as I can

I hope the best for the woman with the step dad in prison and wacky mother. It is a rough life and proud she made it. Yet, lmfao finding the guy that ran over your mothers legs in a bobcat so you can send them a fruit basket hahahahahahahaha now thats a woman worth keeping and sticking by her side forever.
