For those Dell's sometimes you need to have the power button from the case. It sounds weird but on some models they have a chip on the power button card that the MOBO looks for before powering on. I've had a few alienware machines that were like that.

Just so you know. Older motherboards with new bios's only took away the older apu support. Ryzen 1000, 2000 is still supported.

I had an old case that wasn't any good but had a slide-out tray for the motherboard. Kept that and it makes for a great test bench. Free too. Did have to clip some parts off.

Great video man, the only concern was the removal of that glued on bracket from dell. Man they don't think huh? I was just a little worried about the paint chipper or tool pressing into the board. Anyway, been enjoying your content for years. keep it up man.

try another battery the cmos may not be getting 3.3... you should look for a motherboard tester which just plugs into a pci slot 1

I use slider freezer bags with a white label box to store my PSU cables in and put the name and model number and year I got the PSU too. I like older CPUs to download steam, epic, gog and other frontends and play my library of arcades or pinball games. I just LOLED to the gradual burn and eww that's hot cause, I have definitely never done anything like that eeevvveeerrr.

Guess you tried booting the system without the bios battery in as well ? Some motherboards refuse to boot if that battery is empty & can appear as broken then.

You can take you're chances on bent pins cpu, they're relatively easy to bend back, they much more resilient than LGA pins. I've got a Ryzen 3600 for 10 CAD with box and cooler, guy wanted 80 for it, but when I pointed at bent pins he lowered the price to 10, 15 minutes fiddling with tweezers and my phone as magnifying glass I've got a working 3600 for at least 50 cad less than market price. Also 1600 is a pretty good CPU still and cheap, should work with your boards.

I straightened my pins with a stanley knife blade very easy job
@Dennn904 ай бұрын
@@NoodlesTBograt that was the last step, in my case few pins were bent completely, parallel to the substrate, after I bend them vertically enough, I was able to use razor blade to level them with the rest. I believe that somebody tried to push CPU against the keys in the socket, and he pushed quite hard.

my pc turned it self off the otherday then was stuck with a orange dbug light on which is bios. I went into the bios turned off xmp and the auto cpu overclocking thing then saved and turned pc off by power then waited 10 seconds turned it back on and it turned on and went to windows, so i did a bios update. then after the bios update i turned on xmp and the auto cpu overclocker. Now when i turn pc on my 2ed stick of rgb ram dose not light up in till i am at the sign into windows screen where before it was on couple of seconds after i turned pc on. Both ram sticks work and not had a single crash since the bios update so im guessing it is just something msi added into the bios where it dose not give power to 2ed ram stick in till pc is loaded.

Why on Earth would you buy one of those crappy motherboards when a better current case compatible solution is readily available? If you are flipping these then having a spare gen 3 or lower Ryzen cpu is a must and would have saved you the trouble. Just sayin, as a business owner that wasn't the best idea and you have had good ones consistently. I had to laugh but wanted to scream the whole time.
