I don't want them to release all of it now. There will come a day when there is nothing left. No more first hearing of Chester's voice. I can't. Give it to me slowly and let me still have those fleeting moments of feeling like he's still here. 🥺

I feel you man 😔 originally I heard Mike said they weren't gonna release this song any time soon, probably was gonna save it for an anniversary album, but I think he was probably thinking he wouldn't be around or something by then, idk. Cause 20 years of One More Light would be.... 2037 😅

Seeing him smile breaks my heart too. Its not the song that made me cry but to watch them record this in the studio and see them work together again, its like he never left, like linkin park is still together putting out new music. Even after 7 years I'm still heartbroken over his death. My opportunity to meet him and the band was taken from me 10 days before the show because thats when he did it. I cry so hard when I watch their videos because I missed out on giving them hugs and thanking them, especially Chester

This was a recording for the one more light album in 2017, but it didn't make it. It is similar to songs like "halfway right" or "Sharp edges" which were on the album.

It feels to me like a continuation of Talking To Myself almost, which is the song before Battle Symphony, so it would stand to reason that may have been where this was intended to sit.

I am literally bawling my head off, listening to this! The song totally fits what’s going on in my life right now! Funny how shit works like that with them? I miss him and them so much! But I’m so grateful they’re taking us on this journey with them as they unpack all of this and bleed it out for us and with us as well! We’re all still dealing in our own grief, loss and love! I’m just so grateful that they had cameras on them thank you guys and thank you Alex! You were the first person I thought of when I heard this song!

Man, I fully understand the "comforting pain" feeling - I am beyond grateful that I still get to hear stuff from the band, and yet it physically hurts. 💔And you're right about the perfection of a production this is, I'd be curious to know how involved Mike was in it. Thank you for this!

You can always tell when Mike Shinoda has produced the music because everything is always so crisp and beautiful. You can hear everything from the sound effects to the guitars and every single hit on the drum kit… but nothing is ever highlighted more than Chester’s voice. Mike is more than a musical genius, he’s a human. He understands the sort of reaction that people have to Chester’s voice and his lyrics and all he ever does is help to add strength and power to it without ever covering it. Thank you guys for another song to remember Chester by.

Hearing Chester's voice again is a pain we don't want to feel but need to feel. The raw emotion and power that Chester put into everything he sang, resonates within the soul. As painful as it is to hear Chester again and as confusing as it is for my brain to see him in another video. Seeing and hearing Chester again reminds me every time to just keep pushing no matter how hard life gets. He reminds me that life is fragile and should be cherished. R.I.P Chester you're forever loved and remembered.

Honestly, when One More Light was released, it faced a lot of backlash from fans. I remember seeing comments criticizing it everywhere. The entire band was under fire. Now, with the tragic loss of the person who helped so many of us through his music, suddenly everyone is expressing love for tracks like "Friendly Fire." It's disappointing to witness. Nonetheless, I wish the band strength during this difficult time. Thank you for the incredible music that has meant so much to me for the past 24 years, and counting. Meeting Mike at his show in Bangkok was a highlight for me, and I hope to have the chance to meet the rest of the band someday.

Its so surreal to me seeing him singing like this. Just like it has been recorded a short time back not years... Saw Mike Shinoda back in 2019 on his tour in Germany performing the album he wrote to cope with the death of his best friend and seeing them singing together in this song breaks my heart a bit. Beautiful song. Nice to see and hear him again.

I feel it's a song that reflects on the connection between Chester's fans & how hurt he felt after social media trashed the"One More Light" album. He took the negative comments really personally, fired back at the haters, and realized "we went too far" in a general sense. We all did... Looking back, fans shouldn't have been so harsh on the band over OML. 😞 RIP Chester

"A comforting type of pain." I totally get that. Listening and watching this video by Linkin Park felt exactly like that. It was wonderful to see, and Chester DID seem like he was still here. The video is so real and so "now" looking, that I had to remind myself that this was footage from years ago. It just doesn't LOOK that old, though, and the song doesn't seem dated in the least bit. I just am so happy that the guys decided to release THIS video as the official video for the song. To see the guys all working, creating together in it was incredible. I don't agree with you, Alex, about having them release everything now, though. I love that we get something now and then from them. Like @lisaanderson2900 said, there will come a day when there is nothing left, we've been given all there is to give. I'd rather keep looking forward to more. Wonderful gifts that Chester and the guys can sprinkle us with and give us joy.
