You were absent, lost in a spatio-temporal hole... You have just been parachuted, you have just woken up or come out of a long coma..., you don't know chester homie come on...but you allow yourself to judge, and to play a connoisseur, etc. Don't act like this dude.*

His voice is so clear and pure and beautiful in this song. It's not really a "new" song. Mike says it was actually completely finished when they did Meteora but since they had Numb on the album already, and this was kind of similar, they decided to keep Numb. They'd planned on putting it out eventually, but time and the need for continuing to evolve just made it fall to the wayside. It's such a beautiful song and such a shame that it didn't come out earlier, but then we wouldn't have it, now.

I agree that Chester was super talented, and love the lyrics. Can relate unfortunately, But I only ever liked the hybrid theory album, I tried their other stuff, but just wasn't for me. And it has nothing to do with Chester, I think they over did the raping (miko is it?) And it sometimes felt forced into some songs just for the sake of to make him included, I dunno. But sometimes it really wasn't needed. It just didn't always fit every single song. . I like how that was just bkground in this and they should have done that with alot of the songs, but that's my opinion of course

Man. This is tough to hear. We lost an amazing human and an amazing voice. I was one of the audio engineers of the Chester memorial show in Southern California…and this just puts me right back in that night…remembering the empty mic stand with the solo spot light on it, while LP played ”In the End”, with only the entire crowd doing the vocals. Man. Just brought me right back. Giving Shinoda a hug as he walked off stage after the song. Man. Tough. 😢

I always remember when I saw the “Making of Meteora” footage with a snippet of a previous version of this song, and I thought “they should release that song” But I never expected that this was the final version and such a powerful song. It makes me think even more that it should have been on Meteora. It’s hard not to get tears everytime I listen to “Lost”, and sometimes it’s hard to even listen without getting real emotional. I’m grateful for being able to see them perforn live in Chile both times they got here. And thank you, Alex for appreciating Linkin Park music. @@lyleschoepflin5444I very much disagree. We, the survivors, let people know. We talk, for a while we scream. And people hold their ears shut. And that is how they shame us and make us think we should hide it so we don't annoy others with the pain we feel and don't give them the idea that this is us, that we want that done to us. If you hide it, it is for you, for your best. And the absolute best for you is to hide it from yourself. We are not angels who smile to make life better for others. We smile to make life easier for ourselves.

My older brother introduced me to LP, probably right before Minutes to Midnight came out, and got me hooked instantly from 'In The End'. I was lucky enough to see them back in 2014 with 30 Seconds to Mars and to say that I lost my voice is an understatement... But this song like many others with Chester's vocals, resonated to everyone. They've always meant so much to anyone hurt, anyone who felt like they didn't fit in, or anyone *lost*. There is such an incredible amount of heaviness and realness in Lost's lyrics and a nostalgia of hearing Chester's voice, that just throws you head first into a pool of raw emotion. You remember all of the times you listened to their music during your worst days or your best days, when you were in a great mood or a fucking terrible mood. Chester's talent and his voice was so incredibly special, and I know for a fact that the world needed to hear his voice again. He really was a 1 of 1 - there will never be another Chester Bennington. Peace and love brother. 🤍

Linkin park was my gateway into rock and metal. That band shaped who I became. As a kid the music provided an escape. I could get lost in the sounds and find comfort in Chester’s voice. But now as an adult in my 30s who has come to face my own struggles with mental health issues his lyrics hit home. Each song is reminder that I’m not alone in my pain. The feeling of lost he describes in this song is something I’ve felt throughout my whole life. Their music got me through some dark times in life and helped me find the strength to face my demons. His death hit hard but the fact that an old demo from a 20 year old album can bring so much peace through the pain in the lyrics is truly a testament to Chester and linkin park as a whole. I love this band. Legendary, his legacy will never die

This song hits hard af tbh. Right now I’m in a middle of tough whirlwind of situations and I’m totally lost. Chester’s cry for help in this song same as mine. I’m turning 30s this year, LP been with me through my whole life and every single time their songs hits hard into my dome. They are made me cry today for couple hours but after listening this song for a whole day I can say I felt myself better today. There is no words for how we all missing Chester. I mean those guys who grow up with their song and for those who found them recently. Keep you head up people. We can make it through. Be true to yourself and your heart. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. We are here for you as you for us.

I'm 21, back in April of last year, the relationship I was in for 4 years very suddenly ended with ghosting and blocking and a lot of the person I thought loved me talking behind my back and saying horrible things about me. When I listened to this song the first time I described it to my friends as "being punched in the gut". Hearing Chester's voice after 5 years in a song we haven't heard before was .. emotional, and that's an understatement. I knew Chester was going through stuff (I mean you had to have been oblivious). In his other songs we got glimpses of his world through a tiny crack in the facade. A facade not made with ill-intent but out of necessity. But the song "Lost", captures it all. How he felt, how he "coped", how he dragged himself through the day until he couldn't any longer. The loneliness that pores out of this song is heart-wrecking. An overflow of such feelings can make you numb. Eventually it gives a perspective that in the end it doesn't really matter. Trying to crawl away from the edge that minutes ago you just put one step closer to. To runaway from the abyss. Finding yourself spiraling down, trying to break the habit. Wanting to find a place for your head, somewhere you belong. Lying to the world to keep up the illusion, to fend of the truth that you are .. Lost

This song was hard for me. Linkin park helped me through one of my darkest times and through my childhood. This song describes how I feel almost on a daily basis. I regret the things I’ve done, my life experiences couldn’t have been much worse. But when ever I’ve been down, linkin park were always there. It was like they understood what I was going through. I never knew that Chester had health problems until he passed but now listening to their songs I can hear it in his voice, he always portrayed how he felt and now I hear it. Given my own mental health problems and their songs shine a light through the darkest corners of my mind. I love Linkin Park always have and always will do.

I love that we have this new song. Hearing his voice makes me cry. I struggle with my own mental health and Linkin Park's music has always helped. To know that others feel the same pain that you do helps. You don't want anyone else to suffer the way you do, but knowing you are not alone is so comforting. This band will always be with me. I will always cry hearing his voice. I am sure he is singing in the choir up at heaven.

Chester was just amazing, LP was my salvation, which I know is the same for millions of people. I'm happy the song was released, but I feel like it could either have become a smash hit or a "forgotten" song, if it was released on Meteora or as a single in that period because of Numb. I've been a fan of Linkin Park since Minutes to Midnight came out aka when Transformers 2007 was released and I heard What I've Done for the first time. In short I was a fan since I was in elementary school. They've been there for me when I was struggling through school and when I had many dark times. It was like an outlet for me to let go of things I just couldn't say in front of people. Everything they put out I loved and inspired me. When Chester passed away in 2017 I just felt like I lost a close family member. I never cried for any musician but Chester's passing made me feel hollow. For almost 3-4 years I couldn't listen to their music. And hearing this song just made me cry again and gave me goosebumps. Hearing any new song let alone an unreleased track just gave me all sorts off emotions since it's been 5 years. Chester, Mike, Joe, Brad, Rob, & Dave have always been their for me and I'll still support them going forward.
