Most mascots are accompanied by an escort who serves as both their eyes and their voice. Escorts inform the mascot of the things around them outside their line of vision (there's no peripheral) and communicate with guests on their behalf, so as to not ruin the magic. These escorts also keep away rowdy teenagers, drunk people, skeptical kids, and anyone else who may try to harm the mascot.
